Further results. . .5th Bryan Beard w/ 113. . .also that Ryan Mckillop guy was there. He was doing pretty well - I think he told me around 100 - when he ended up reversing. Kirby I believe said he did 56. They counted everyone and announced all the results - which I thought was cool - so hopefully they'll release that info later. 3rd place finisher's total is highly suspect according to several audience members, but whatever. . .Damon is a friend of mine who I encouraged to sign up. I knew he would do well, but he really kicked my butt. Good job man! I think 128 gyoza has to be one of the top rookie performances of all time.

BTW, for the first few minutes I ate faster than I've ever eaten in a contest. I think I had 50 gyoza down in a minute flat. I normally am more of a slow and steady eater. I guess my stomach wasn't used to expanding that fast and I hit a major wall. The last 3 or 4 minutes were like me just in agony not barely eating. I swallowed a ton of air and it wouldn't come out. I hope there is some pictures that pop up showing me kneeling at the table about to die. Agony pictures are the best kind. I guess I need to stick with the slow and steady routine because obviously my stomach can't expand as fast as I was trying to make it! Still it was kind of fun to keep pace with Joey for a minute or two :)
