She doesn’t need it, but I wish Sonya good luck.

I think she did quite well. Judging from her site she is happy with her performance and has high praise for Pat. Besides that how can you use jalapenos as the best food for determining hand speed? She’s pretty damn fast at a lot of foods, though not quite as fast as the great Don Lerman.

I doubt there are more than a dozen people with faster hands than her. Dale Boone is the fastest.

my hands might be fast but when my mouth is slow it doesn’t help. sonya and pat are close at their jalepeno speed. most of us couldnt eat one third as much before it feels like tanks rolling through your stomach.

Included in the mass destruction of 3000 innocent people were many of the Nathans restaurant employees that worked in the Windows of the World 116th floor of the WTC during the attack of 911. Nathans civil service qualifiers were held at that location from 1998-2001

    Congratulations Pat! You are awesome!

Sonya, you continue to amaze. You have improved so much in Jalapenos over the last several years. I cannot think of a single food at which you aren’t one of the top half dozen eaters in the world, still after nearly a decade of competitive eating.

Nothing wrong with finishing 3rd and 4th, Erik and Alex, especially when you eat 100+ peppers in 8 minutes.

Who was the other female in the competition, and how many dis she finish with?

I’m very, very happy that we don’t have to worry about OBL any more, but I’m not celebrating.

His being taken out will neither bring back any of the people who were lost on 9/11, nor will it guarantee that this and many other countries are safe from future terrorist assaults. It is, however, a step forward in a long-term war at which there are no winners.

The other female in the contest was JoAnn. She is a San Antonio local, and ate 50 peppers. This was her first contest. She seems like a really nice girl, and definitely a respectable amount for her first contest.
