update June 9 The top 5 was announced this morning
1) Tim Brown 7.8 pounds
2) Pat Bertoletti 5.6
3) Crazy Legs Conti 5.3
4) Ben Taylor 3.88
5) Erik Denmark 3.8
Tim Brown’s total is more than twice the amount (3.64 lb.) he ate at the 2011 Ribfest
update 10:01 Results have yet to be announced. Mary Sandberg says Pat Bertoletti ate 5.6 pounds of ribs.
Dahl.com has a video of last night’s amateur qualifier for the Chicago Ribfest won by Paul Zwerican, who will compete in the professional contest tonight with Pat Bertoletti, Tim Brown, Adrian Morgan, Erik Denmark, Crazy Legs Conti, Matt Raible and Eric Hucke.

Chicago must be one of Pat’s least favorite cities to compete in. He has at least two losses now to lower ranked opponents right in his home town. Sonya won in overtime a couple or three years ago in jalapenos and now this.
