Tim Janus has withdrawn from today’s Nathan’s qualfier in Queens, leaving the men’s favorites Crazy Legs Conti, Brian Dudzinski and Bill Myers. Larell Marie Mele headlines the women’s field.

    How did Tim only do 28.5?? Was he sick? If he did 28.5 on purpose, that is pretty riskly, considering Dud Light was only 2.5 HDB behind.

    A reliable source has informed me that beautiful brian seiken’s total was given a few extra points even though there were several hot dogs and alot of bun debris in the cups. Sanctions should be enforced.

    @8:15, he didn’t have to withdraw. He could have stood there and not eaten. So in that case a rule like what you propose wouldn’t have had any effect.

    Reliable source? Were you there ? Wild Bill plays no favs and gives zero extra points. The only one that can dispute that call is Eater X who competed next to Seiken so maybe its you but ill put money down that its a midget a gorilla or a fat bitch from LA that made that snide remark. But just to be on the safe side so there is no room for discretion, i will ask Mr Seiken to post a pic of his plates which he took just in case there was any controversy as to how many he actually ate . Will that work for you fool?

    Sounds to me like Janus re-entered the contest & had Conti sit out only because Conti knew he had no chance up against Dud Light. What a set up. If someone drops out of a contest they don’t deserve special treatment. So much for “retiring” Janus is a douche.

    If you read my latest update i never mentioned anything about setting a personal best nor do i care . There is a line or two in bits and pieces crediting wheatgrass juice for giving me a boost but thats about it. Honestly 17 is a pretty shitty number in this day and age as far as im concerned . Its a number i should have put up in 2002 and then progress to one or two hot dogs per year after .Setting that type of pace i should have been hitting 30 by now. 17 would have put me in Coney in 1999 or 2000 but the Kobi era changed the complexion of the sport and the rising of the bar to what it is now. I am more upset with Brian D getting screwed over for the win yesterday when Janus played possum and stopped eating with a few minutes left . Conti was hoping for an easy one knowing that Bill would have a rough time beating him and as far as my showing , well i probably didnt count at all as far as he was concerned knowing im good for 11 LOL. When Brian showed up it threw their entire game plan off. Conti must have taken the Nathans shirt off then put it back on at least 5 times before he convinced Janus to get up there and take care of Brian Dale Boone style alka seltzer 2005

    i’m sure when you compare wild bills and seikens areas post contest you will see who ate a true clean 17 and who ate a dirty debris filled should only get credit for 11

    Most of Allen Goldstein Nathans victories came before Wild Bill became the official stat man. which means that he might have been credited with extra plates due to bad judging . He is probably good for 19 clean and the rest were unconfirmed uncalculated bonus points. No this is not Seiken but a friend

    Janus didn’t play possum. He said on the microphone that he didn’t want to eat more hot dogs he had to in order to win. So what’s the best way to do that? Is it to wait until your opponent has eaten 26 and then try to catch up? (No because there wouldn’t be any time left). Or is it to eat as many as you think you need to eat and then sit back and protect your lead? (Yeah, that’s the ticket!) There’s nothing wrong or unsportsmanlike about that.
