Josh miller ranked #36 couldnt even hit 70 yet seiken ate 100 in documented you tube practices with same dumplings and hes ranked dead last.. Wont even go there with overranked females that finished 14 and 15 respectively.A big joke

For the record the totals have yet to be reversed by MLE so until then you are stuck with 66

I guess a perk of dating Miki Sudo is becoming a better eater because Juan seems to have gotten better since dating her.

Maybe if Seiken started consistently going to contests and proving his worth, he might be ranked higher than 50th. Seiken likes to talk and stir up a storm, but won’t compete. If he is better than Miller, Bowers, and Ricasa, then prove it. But he’s a coward, and his eating abilities have waned as he has gotten older. And maybe if he weren’t such a turd all the time on his site and this board, he would be ranked higher. Character counts in MLE rankings; it’s not just about eating ability. The Sheas realize he is a liability and want him gone ASAP. I know I would. He would embarrass me. He brings their brand down. Oh, and that 11 hot dog performance didn’t help either.

By the way, even if Seiken could do 100 gyoza, that’s a freaking joke. 100 sucks. Time for Seiken to clean up his act.

Seiken also loses respect when he posts anonymously. He has a screen name, so he might as well use it. He is just such a disreputable character, he makes me sick. He either needs to retire, or turn a new leaf in every aspect of competitive eating. He needs to stop whining all the time. He has some kind of personalty disorder. I can tell he is not a happy person.

  12. anonymous said

I think some where in the back of Seiken’s mind, he thinks he will suddenly become a better eater but he is so wrong. Even if he gets a little better, he will never be respected because of all the damage he has done with his badmouthing everyone he is jealous of. He’s like an aging musician that never made it who thinks he will still get his big break. It’s still fun to watch him try and make a fool of him self.

blah blah blah whip out the violins . Character means nothing stats that count and Seiken would wipe the floor with all the female eaters and male eaters that are ranked 20 or more spots ahead of him with the exception of 4 females and only one of them is considered a real legend and she aint from Japan. Get with the program and stop giving sermons . Your not only do a bad job in that department but you sound stupid

That’s a great analogy gourmand . Certainly proves two of those extremely over ranked female eaters cant eat their way out of a paper bag especially the one that was bitchin about her nathans totals being half a dog off 14 instead of 14.5 . Like it makes a difference. Who gives a shit?

So what youre actually saying is that you can make a total ass of yourself at the table by eating 50 or 60 dumplings as long as your name is not Seiken then it becomes a horse of a different color. If you cant eat at least the bathroom scale weight of sudo sonya or juliet you didnt belong at that table in LA . Take up knitting cooking or croche like all normal females do

I just passed the wall of fame today. Why dont they just tear the wall down and re do it over Besides Chestnut and Sonya the rest of the images dont belong there. Janus Juliet Lee Little Jimmy? Where do they fit into the category of wall of fame icons? Bertoletti is not with the IFOCE anymore . If you want to revise the wall do it right
    1. Ed Krachie
    2. Ed Jarvis
    3. Bob Shoudt
    4. Dale Boone
    5. Mike Devito
    6. Matt Stonie
    7. Cardboard Shell
    8. Chip Simpson
    9. Badllands Booker
    10. Don Lerman
    11. Takeru Kobayashi These names along with Chestnut and Sonya are images that the die hard fans of the sport would recognize. When you see images of Conti and Janus the first thing that goes through your mind is favortism and politics

  40. anonymous said

    September 3, 2014 @ 10:41 pm

Somebody is taking LSD with that list above. Boone? Simpson? Shell? Stonie? Maybe Stonie in a few years but come on.

    Kobayashi
    Chestnut
    Sonya
    Jarvis
    Krachie
    Booker
    Lerman
    Janus
Conti (you have to appreciate his longevity and commitment to CE)
    Shoudt

Sudo & Stonie could be future considerations.

The first four held multiple titles in almost every food category you can name Krachie just for the fact that he was the pioneer that set the stage even though he wanted no part of the IFOCE except for hot dogs. Booker no doubt. Lerman maybe. Lerman won a matzah ball title before he got in with IFOCE but they guy he beat Russel Machover and the rest of the field were nobodies. Lerman is still complaining about a 3rd place trophy owed to him by Hardy for finishing 3rd instead of 4th in 2001 Nathans finals I would say on his bean blowout of 6lbs in less than a minute over Leon Feingold should earn him a spot if not for anything else . Stonie has earned his spot even before he turns 23. The rest is your call i have no comment on those other names you mentioned

The current Wall is not one of “Fame.” It’s a Biased Wall of “What Have You Done for Nathan’s and MLE Lately.”

If you’re talking MLE / IFOCE Wall or Hall of Fame, you have to first determine qualifications for “appearance” or “induction.” Things to consider are: years as a competitive eater, # of contests won, to include major titles, and # of records established.

Should one be on the Wall / in the Hall based on tenure alone? I think not. Personally, I’m a strict interpreter of rules that merit any sort of recognition, because if the criteria are too laxed, recognition becomes not just meaningless, but a slap in the face of the truly special performers.

If I had the hammer, so to speak, on who should be on the Wall or in the Hall, here’s my short list in alphabetical order.
    1. Patrick Bertoletti
    2. Badlands Booker
    3. Joey Chestnut
    4. Cookie Jarvis
    5. Takeru Kobayashi
    6. Sonya Thomas

That’s it. Having said that, that doesn’t mean that I believe that no one else has not substantially contributed to MLE over the last dozen-plus years—-not at all! Crazy Legs Conti, Charles Hardy, Juliet Lee, Carlene LeFevre, Rich LeFevre, Don Lerman, Kevin Lipsitz, Tim Janus, Bob Shoudt, and Matt Stonie, (and several others) have all contributed significantly, and several of those nine are at the top of the list for future induction—-most notably Tim, Bob, and Matt, in that order.

Krachie, Nakajima, Arai, Devito, and a few others also contributed greatly, no doubt, but their tenures and number of competitons were shorter and fewer, respectively.

Is there any way to know if an old thread has received a new comment? The recent comments on the right-hand side of the page show only the last five, so if a comment for an older thread doesn’t appear there, I believe most people would have no way of knowing a new comment appeared there, since the threads do not move to the top of the page when there is an update.

    Thanks.

Rhonda , you don’t think Seiken belongs here? He won two pickle titles one of them was sanctioned by the IFOCE and the other even though not sanctioned by the IFOCE was heralded by George Shea as one of the greatest upsets of all time. Could Krazy Kevin have knocked off Jarvis Booker and Hardy all in one shot ? Doesnt matter if it was a one shot deal or margin of victory , a win was a win. What about BB corner? What about his website which played a huge part in drawing publicity to the sport good or bad? Any to those of you piece of shit cocksuckers that reply back under assumed names (two) with your insensitive crude remarks , eat shit and die or say what you have to say to Seiken face or please post your real name ok?

  45. anonymous said

If Conti open mouth image can hog up the wall of shame , then Seiken image should be right next to him

  46. anonymous said

    September 4, 2014 @ 5:20 pm

Rhonda the six names you listed deserve to be on the wall but so does Krachie Devito Lerman & Shoudt. You cant fit everyone on the wall or it will resemble the Sgt Pepper album and some of the images will get lost in the shuffle. Lefevre doesnt belong in the wall because he violated the IFOCE contract more than once. The badmouthing of the Sheas behind their back certainly wont score wall of fame points if you know what i mean. Conti never had any business being on the wall in the first place. To be fair to everyone there should be an old timers wall and a new era wall instead of removing some of the old school eaters which left a permanent scar on their legacy with the ifoce

5:20: Your thoughts have merit, and now that I reflect on and research the issue, just a bit, you can make a case for inducting pioneers of the sport (i.e. the old timers), along with organizers and other contributors within the managing organization (MLE), itself. That’s what Major League Baseball did; the Hall isn’t reserved only for players, like I originally thought.

So, on that note, with respect to CE pioneers of the sport, you could include Krachie, Lerman, Nakajima, Arai, Krazy Kev, Beautiful Brian, DeVito, and one or two others, whose names escape me right now.

If you include CE pioneers, you also must include other contributors to the sport:

    Organizers: George and Rich Shea
    Emcees: Mike Castellano, Ryan Nerz
Publicity / Media: Crazy Legs and Beautiful Brian

Where do you draw the line?

If comments such as 821 occurred more frequently on this site, there would be no need for name calling and hostility among fellow eaters
