Juan Rodriguez won with 13.5 hot dogs. Brandon Clark should have gone to Naperville and would have beaten him.

Juan was “dogging” it. Others may be doing the same on July 4 as it appears that only the top five are going to get paid as there has been no mention of the additional payout that Heinz Ketchup provided last year to eaters who finished 6-15. It’s a shame for all the good men who deserve the extra money but it’s great that the women don’t get any additional money because there are only three who deserve to get anything (Miki, Sonya and Michelle). Juliet Lee should be dq’d every year due to the mess that she leaves on the floor, table and in her cups.

Proof Richard Shea personally eats Nathan’s hot dogs:

Duirng a bunnette contest in 2009 Dick Shea bought a Nathans hot dog at the Coney Island stand split it in half and offered Seiken the other half. I am thinking he wanted to split the high sodium level in half . True story

@DaGarbageDisposal but if you did beat him you would of made a hell of a name for yourself. You did around 25 before so you are in the neighborhood

If Nathans paid me a million every year, I might eat nothing but those hot dogs, and fries. But, he did say “I don’t eat that shit” while purchasing a sausage instead of eating FREE Nathans dogs. It was after the Saratoga contest in August of 2003.

    Hey idiot 6:40:

It was reported by the Naperville Ribfest Juan did 13.5 HDB:

    .@JuanMoreBite (13.5?) & Marlene Wigginton (11) win @NaperRibfest @originalnathans qualifier https://www.facebook.com/ribfestnaperville/photos/a.10150166475667678.361675.128200762677/10156300525552678/?type=3 …”

So you had better apologize. I actually followed the contest and was on top of things, unlike keyboard warriors like you.

6:55: I didn’t compete, but if I did I assure you I would have kicked Juan’s ass. He is a good eater, but not great. He brags how he is going to get always get better and soon will be the champ, like Ronnie Hartman, but he is just all talk.

I would have to side with Menchetti on that one . Joe is not a liar and what would he have to gain by making it up?. Others like Gavonne and Lerman lie through their teeth when confronted with the undeniable truth. Joe posted the Rich Shea comment on his website speedeat.com when competitive eating was reaching its peak . The site was groundbreaking and entertaining at the same time

I hope Nathan’s never finds out about this Joe and 8:09 AM. LOL! They actually are a better brand compared to most. Good ingredients. Boar’s Head natural casing is really one of the best though.

At my local Nathan’s restaurant (an express location inside a Walmart), they do not serve natural casing. They use Nathan’s skinless. They are too small to get the genuine ones. They also charged for the Grub Tub when you ordered a meal, unlike the others who give them away with the meal.

Nathan’s all-beef skinless scored in the middle of the pack when the NY Times compared 10 hot dog brands:

” Others like Gavonne and Lerman lie through their teeth when confronted with the undeniable truth.”

Other eaters too, including a female eater, but not going to mention any names.

When you cut back the natural casing to 5 dogs instead of 6 then charge $5.99 just because the Nathans logo is attached to it, you are essentially ripping off the consumer. Whats next 4 natural casing dogs for $6.99? with a pic of Sudo and Chestnut on the package? Shove it up your ass Sabrette all the way

Most Nathan’s restaurants in NY will sell uncooked hotdogs for $8 a doz. Years ago the Coney location sold the 5lb bag for $21

I believe they still sell the uncooked dogs at Nathans in Coney for $8 a dozen

I wish someone would tell me what it is I’m lying about. Funny how people who know nothing about me like to throw my name around. Meanwhile the real criminals like Mencheeti (scalper) & Sudo (bomb scares) go unprosecuted. I guess if you can eat a lot you get a free pass.

I called. The Nathan’s restaurants in Las Vegas won’t do that.

Gavonne is a good man. He knows what he is talking about. Also, don’t forget Randy Santel, who admitted on this site a few years ago he has a criminal record. I know of a few others but won’t mention names.

Gavonne they call you a liar because you falsely paint yourself as the victim when its the total opposite

  33. anonymous said

Gavonne was never completely pyscho like that other person from NYC who eats 11 hot dogs.

    LOL, from the article cited:

“Ribfest spokeswoman Erin O’Donnell said the Ribfest contest attracted several hundred fans who cheered the competitors on and were dazzled by Emcee Sam Barclay, who introduced the competitors with a flair and English accent that made it sound as if they were knights going into battle as opposed to folks who really could have used a few more napkins.”
