I’m the one trying to get the team together. We have 4 guys who can def hang! but I’m having major trouble getting those other 2 on the team. Furious Pete wants to be part of the team but as of now looks like he can’t make it out to Cali… If anybody out there wants to do this thing and can get down 2 18″ by yourself please let me know.

I forgot all my math skills I learned in high school. Does 1/6 of the area of a 54 inch pizza equal two 18 inch pizzas? Good job figuring that out. That’s a big pizza. And two of those in two hours? I don’t think I could do it. I can do one in about 30 minutes, eating casually in front of the TV, but I’ve never tried two. Damnit, now I’m going to have to eat two large pizzas this weekend just to see if I can do it.

    54in pizza= 2290.2 square inches /6 people = 381.7square inches each
    18in pizza= 254.5 square inches
    16in pizza= 201 square inches

So if you can find 6 people that can eat 2x 16in pizzas, and who may still be a little hungry just in case, the 54 should be covered.

Your 16 and 18 inch round pizza calcs are correct, but if it is a 54 in square pizza, it actually has 2916 square inches. Divide that by 6 and you get 486 square inches per person.

Actually the 54″ pizza is squared so it’s 2,916 sq inches. which means each member would have to east 486sq inches… so you would have to eat one of the follwing below, asuming the pizzas you get are rounded.

    3.25×14″ pizzas = 500sq inches
    2.5×16″ pizzas = 502sq inches
    2×18″ pizzas = 509sq inches
    1×25″ pizza = 491sq inches

My bad, didn’t see that it was square. That’s what I get for trying to act all smart and stuff. Next time I’ll keep to myself.

Crust thickness will also come into play.

I’ve spoken with the Pizzeria owner. it’s regular crust… the pizza weighs around 30lbs total.

Are there toppings? Do you have a choice of which ones? That’ll make a big difference too.
