Tim Janus and Humble Bob are class acts. True gentlemen of the sport. Mid-nineties Michael Jordan and Scotty Pippen. Mark McGuire and Jose Canseco in the bash-brothers days. Ben Roethlisberger and Jerome Bettis this past season. None of these pairs have the same everlasting love and respect for one another as these two fine gurgitators.

If there were competitive eating sports cards I'd trade a Sonya Thomas in an Eater X/Humble Bob combo any day based on character alone. Unless it was a Black Widow rookie card. Sorry guys.

Tim did a "great" job with the burgers. I was honored to be able to experiance a part of it. My part went something like this.

Me: "Do you have a guy there eating hamburgers?"

Yankee Doodle Owner "Yeah we do."

Me: "How is he doing?"

YDO: "He is doing pretty good. Who is this?"

Me: "This is Humble Bob"

YDO: "Hi Humble Bob. Do you want to talk to him? Tim was just telling me about all of you professional eaters."

Me: "Sure, thanks."

I think that this may be as close as I come to ever breaking an old record at a restaurant. Anytime you can break a record that is that old, that Cookie and Badlands held, that is "great". I say if someone does ever break this record, just break it by one, out of respect for both the owner and those that came before you. Now some of the other records at various other places, I say CRUSH them like a bug!
