“Bones” competitive eating episode November 10

A press release announces that the competitive eating episode of Bones, titled “The Hot Dog in the Competition” will be televised on the Fox Network on November 10. Johnnie Excel and other competitive eaters are expected to appear on the program. A synopsis of the episode from the press release:

The Jeffersonian team identifies the remains of a competitive eating champion just days before the start of the Gluttony Games, a premiere eating competition with a $10,000 prize at stake. The remarkable work of the exceptionally brilliant new squint and former juvenile delinquent Finn (guest star Luke Kleintank) links obscure evidence found in the belly of a snake with laws of physics in order to solve the crime. Despite his undeniable virtuosity in the lab, Finn is met with hostility and skepticism, leading Cam (Tamara Taylor) to question her decision to give him a chance to start anew. Meanwhile, Booth is caught off-guard by an announcement Brennan makes about their baby. To diffuse the tension between them, the couple agrees to experiment with putting themselves in each other’s shoes.

This sounds almost as melodramatic and fictional as many of the comments on eatfeats! 🙂

I ended up casting myself, Jed, Naader, Aaron, Matt and some random extras to fill the table. A non-competitive eater friend of mine was cast for the victim role. Actor Skyler Stone was cast as “The Woodchuck” who has a close finish against my character “The Compactor” during the hot dog scene. The episode will be a available on the Bones website a week after it airs. Also look for the behind the scenes commentary we filmed for the Bones community page, hopefully they end up on the DVD too.

Matt? As in Matt Stonie? Didn’t Kevin Ross leave MLE because he wasn’t allowed to be in a Bones episode?

    Matt Cohen, not Stonie.

I didn’t leave MLE solely because of it. But that was definitely in the “last straw” category as far as making me realize I’d have more fun on independent circuit.

Why did you even bother asking them for permission? If there is nothing in it for them they don’t want there to be anything in it for you
