Norm's Beer and Brats in Superior, WI (Duluth area) will hold a wing eating contest on Thursday awarding $500 to the winner.
Nightlife KC is holding the "The Fat Kid Showdown", a competitive eating tournament for up to 32 competitors. Five rounds will be held at Kansas City area restaurants starting June 6. The finals on July 11 will award $500 to the winner, $250 to the runner up.
Maverik convenience stores will hold a hot dog eating contest in August 25 in Magna, Utah awarding a trip to the Bahamas. Qualifiers will start on May 23 in Idaho Falls, ID and take place in Utah, Wyoming, Nevada and Idaho (entrants must be residents of those four states).
A wing eating contest will be held in Batesville, Arkansas on September 8 awarding $500 to the winner. Qualifiers will be held on May 19 and June 9.
The Sacramento County Fair will hold a corn dog eating contest on May 25 awarding $800 ($500 to the winner).
The grand opening of Tony Luke's new location in Sicklerville, NJ on June 9 will feature a sandwich eating contest awarding $500 to the winner. Bill "El Wingador" Simmons will serve as judge.
DashBurger will hold a burger eating contest at the Australian Pub in San Diego on Saturday. The pro winner will receive $400 and the amateur victor will get $150.

Masa in Tacoma, WA will hold a 6 pound burrito eating contest on May 5 awarding $300 to the winner. Randy Santel is planning to compete. Legendary Doughnuts in Auburn, WA will award $250 on May 13 to the person with the fastest time eating its 9 inch doughnut during the period April 13 - May 13.
Mulligan's in Harrisburg, PA will hold a chile pepper eating contest on Saturday awarding $500.
Prince Pizzeria in Saugus, MA will hold a pizza eating contest on July 26 awarding $850 ($500 to the winner). Qualifiers will take place on Thursdays starting June 14. The registration deadline is May 15.
Miki Sudo would probably be the top local female in tomorrow's Las Vegas Nathan's qualifier if she competes. The Las Vegas Sun has a list of six Nevada eating challenges, mentioning her as the recipient of a $1,510 payout after finishing the challenge at Pho 87 in December. She is not the first person to finish the challenge; Naader Reda, Matt Stonie and Stephanie Torres completed it, but had difficulty receiving payment due to an unlisted ban on "professionals."
