MLE announced that the first qualifier of the 2023-24 circuit will take place in August in a seaside English town where Nathan's is available. Nathan's Famous UK has two restaurants in Southampton and Bournemouth. Beard Meats Food and Leah Shutkever (if she competes) will probably be the favorites. Theo Malini produced a video (longer video) French food challenger Alan FoodChallenge a fake for spitting out food while recording his videos. (He apparently forgot to edit out his regurgitation). The criticism of Alan FoodChallenge has gone viral in French-language media with LeParisien, rtl.be and Independant producing articles about the alleged deception. Alan has responded by saying he will do a live uncut taco eating challenge on Sunday. updateSunday, Alan attempted to eat what he claimed were 5 GigaTacos, but could finish only about 1.5. Barry Rigby ate a meat and potato pie in 34.5 seconds to regain his title at the World Pie Eating Championship held this morning at Harry's Bar in Wigan, England for his third victory in the competition.
