The facebook for Bartolini's announces that Bob "Killer" Kuhns finished the 10 pound meatball sub challenge in 48:04, less than half of the previous record of an hour and forty minutes.
The list of professionals expected to compete in Sunday's meatball eating contest in Midlothian, IL sponsored by Bartolini's has been posted and includes Joe Menchetti, Tom Gilbert, Bob Kuhns and Pete Czerwinski, who will be filmed by German television for an upcoming program.

Center Square Journal reports that Maurice "El Oso" Nores won an amateur rib eating contest and will receive a slot in Friday's professional rib eating contest at the Chicago Ribfest. Tim "Gravy" Brown and Benjamin "The Wolf" Taylor served as judges.
