Eric the Red was nearly in tears because he wanted third. Look Look he shouted Mih puked, but his hard work rating out Mih was for naught “Mih so hungry” still wins a spot in Chattanooga and Erik doesn’t. Conti did what Conti always does, wins in a pinch. The Great Swamie has to give it up for Conti who as improved beyond belief as of late..
The Great Swamie is pissed at Erik for acting like a girl though.

    Great Swamie,
    You are retarded

Everyone involved in this event had alot at stake. Erik the Red is a true competitor and if he’s gonna foot the bill for a cross-country flight, why should he be quiet, if someone DQ’s????? Why should he be called a crybaby? The guy is playing by the rules and would bow out in an instant if the table were turned. Good for you Erik.

I think for Justin to hit 37 again is a testiment to him. DQ or not the guy is here to fight and we’ll see how much farther he’ll go on Oct 28th

I got to spend some time with The Natural after Memphis, and I gotta say is he a great guy and he’s a gracious competitor. He has the heart of the Lion to come down to MS insure his spot. I look for good things from him.

Crazy Legs? It’s great that he came down to settle things too. I LOVE how close this contest was, and god I’m jealous that I wasnt involved…….Such Style this guy has…….I wish those French Lessons paid off…I’d say something cool about him in French…. I’ll contemplate a Haiku for him….

Style indeed. Chalk one up for the old school eaters . Conti gained respect from some up and coming rookies . This is not to say they didnt respect him before but he sent out a message that an old school eater in his mid to late 30’s has a lot left and it will be awhile before a rookie eater can catch him even though he won by just a burger Justin was awesome but today it was Crazy Legs turn to shine Great job Legs. We are all proud of you

Great Swamie and the rest of you cowardly pseudonyms – do you think I give a shit about third place? I didn’t make the final judgement on the DQ, I didn’t watch the video replay, Mike Castellan and Kenny from Krystals did. Justin – if you are mad at me for pointing out that you had a reversal (it was pretty obvious standing next to you), I am sorry, it wasn’t personal, I respect what you did in earning a wildcard spot. I would have respected you even more if you had admitted that you had a reversal when Castellano asked you (knowing that it wouldn’t have changed any wilcard scenarios), but I understand that as well. Bottom line is Crazy Legs came through in the clutch and I am proud of him. I am not proud of my performance but I do have pride and I won’t hide under a pseudonym either.

Dosen’t a reversal leave smelly evidence?

Great performances, and what an amazing line-up for the final! Everyone really worked for their places. Steakbellie – was this the kind of thing you had in mind?

Jambes Folles – quel mangeur ! Il a fait face à ces hamburgers comme un général dans une guerre et les a tout à fait défaits.

Great job to everyone, including Mih. And kudos to Erik for preserving the integrity of the sport by pointing out a possible infraction and letting the judges do their job.

It’s sort of a rule: If you see someone reversing, you point and grunt and try to tell a judge (with your mouth full, it might sound like “Gggmmmf! He’s frowing upff!”) It’s the fair and honest thing to do and it’s been going on in competitive eating (and just about any other sport) since the very beginning.

Congratulations to ALL the winners – placers and wild cards both! The numbers you all are posting are PHENOMENAL, and it’s hard to believe that a year ago, 20 would have made a wild card. The pace has been stepped up, and the cream rises to the top, as they say. I can’t wait for the finals…should be a FABULOUS event! It’s one I’ll certainly be watching! I have to be honest and say I don’t have a favorite, and whichever one of you wins will certainly deserve it!!

I say next poll — who do you think will win krystals?
list every person… cause they all have a chance.
people will push VERY hard… and there may be more than one reversal.

Boy King I like that poll. But let’s face it. EACH eater does NOT have a chance to win. You can push as hard as you want, but once you hit your capacity food starts coming out, either your nose or your mouth.

But that DOES NOT mean that it won’t be interesting, because it will. After Koby, Joey, and Sonya finish 1-2-3, it will be interesting to see the placings among Tim, Humble, Pat, Chip, and Rich. Then the next tier will be everybody else. Also, if Joey doesn’t have one of his best days, Sonya could very well finish in second..

Koby is a lock to win.

Congrats to all the finalists and all those who tried ,all should be proud. I’de like to be there too but you guys stepped it up much for me right now. Here’s to hoping that all come through the final full and clean

I let “Crazy Legs” win……Just kidding. It was an honor eating next to him and also having the best seat in the house to witness such a great performance..I personally didnt see the reversal, but think that reversal or not “Mih so hungry” did outstanding! 37 is awesome.

    actually, I agree, Luther.
but there have been some near reversals from top level eaters.
So, what I’m suggesting is that the top 3 will be pushing so hard it wouldn’t surprise me if one or maybe even two of them suffered contrary urges.
so, a next-level may sneak into the winning spot.
