I don’t think Kobayashi has done any Japanese contests since the demise of Food Battle Club in 2002. The entrant wearing a knitted cap was Yamamoto, who won the overall contest. Shirota only finished 3rd.

Figures. I knew Kobe wouldnt lower himself by competing against the gal or shirota. They are good eaters but he would cheapen himself by doing that. Like Chestnut eating in the aice

Those wing contests are the worst . People have complained over the years that they were designated trays that were not equal to everyone else’s tray meaning that a top ten eater started with a 4lb tray while others not as important had to deal with a 6lb tray. If each tray of wings is not weighed in front of each eater before contest time its all bullshit! Same applies to the buffet bowl tommorow . I will bet that not all those trays will be 10lbs some will be heavier.And if anyone requests to have the tray weighed before the contest , they will be told something like Yeah right! If noone agrees with me then you must have been born yesterday! They wont weigh the trays in front of you before the contest but they know exactly where they will seat you. What does that tell you?
