    @6:21 Each year it repeats, it has its own variations, as any contest would. The food stays the same, as every contest does. It is the same people, for the most part with new additions each year, as any contest would. So you could say any contest that repeats itself would be ” same shit different year”

    Since Joey Chestnut is always calling Kobe a chicken scared to face him in Coney, why doesn’t Kobe turn the tables and invite Chestnut to the Gringo contest? I think we all know its a bit more involved. In the movie Hungry George says look Kobyashi doesn’t want to be here referring to Nathans . That is sort of turning it around because we all know that he wants to be there he just wont sign the contract . Instead of pussy footing around with nonsense, the bottom line is Chestnut would never accept the invite because hes legally bound to a contract and Kobe will never accept the invite to Nathans because he doesnt want to be legally bound to that same contract. Does that make it more simplistic?

    Porky, “scarced” coward is right, because one doesn’t exist in Kobi. Kobi not seeking out Molly has nothing to do with him being scared, as you insinuate. It’s a nonissue. It would be like Triple Crown winner Secretariat’s trainer trying to prove he’s better than an undefeated, lightly-raced 2-year-old allowance horse. Kobi gives more thought to what color socks to wear.

    As good as Molly is, Takeru Kobayashi is in another league. He knows it; Molly knows it; Molly wants to stay on the winning streak she currently enjoys.

    As 10:43 pointed out, the ONLY person out there in The Tsunami’s league is Jaws, though Matt Stonie is very close.

    Kobayashi is pretty much washed up. If he came back to MLE (hypothetically) he would struggle to be ranked 3rd or 4th. However he can do these contests and not have to worry about losing face. I agree if Molly competed against him she’d win hands down. He’s not even relevant in this sport anymore.
