Why come to a competitive eating website if that’s how you feel?!

The comment from Gentleman Joe should be repeated every time someone says the usual. These negative comments are all the same. I wouldn’t watch……but you have to comment. Gentleman Joe is the gentleman! And he posts under his own name and says what he thinks. I admire that.

Why because it is always the same shit? Someone from a totally different venue like boxing trying his hand at competitive eating. Why can’t it be the other way around like a ce going into the boxing ring or another sport ? For once i would like to see Chestnut Stonie or Sudo challenge someone else in their respective sports

At least El Wingador had balls to go into the boxing ring even though it was against a has been wrestler. Would anyone care to watch Brutus Beefcake eat wings ? I doubt it

I think 10yrs ago Phil Helmuth was supposed to challenge Chestnut in Meatballs in Las Vegas . Of course Chestnut would never play poker against Helmuth because he would lose and lose royally

History will tell you that when a well known sports figure tries his hand at CE they usually fall flat on their face because they don’t care or don’t take it seriously. Shaq Frig Perry to name a few . 4 hot dogs collect their apperance fee and call it a night

Why because it is always the same shit? means that anything you write that follows is going to be negatively received. If you worded the whole as a suggestion, maybe someone would react differently. Cross discipline means, in CE, different kinds of food, different kinds of contests. Get used to it and or get off this page. We do care, and we do not care for your juvenile comments.

Competitive eating feels like one of those things that isn’t a sport at all. Or worse, an activity that anyone can do well in. When outsiders challenge actual competitive eaters that image is broken.

The image is even more broken when a competitive eater challenges them which is rare to none. You nailed it when you said activity because that’s exactly what it is. Drill that thought into Mr Shea who swears it’s a sport or just wants the public to believe it

I’m a regular listener of his podcast. The challenge is 2 on 1. It’s Chael and his friend going against Jamie in a 10 minute contest. Jamie says he’s out of training and won’t be training, so there’s a shot that they win. Chael has been taking it very seriously and talks about it all the time on the podcast. He’s actually training for a fight in January, so that might help him a bit.

And if you don’t care about this story, then you really won’t care that his co-host and his son challenged me to an undercard match, so that should be going down to. I hope you don’t care so much that you check out the live stream 🙂

Unlike basketball . tennis, golf and even poker which are sports of skill . competitive eating is a joke . There is no skill in who can eat more food than someone else and you sound like even more of a joke when boast about being able to eat more food than someone else. Something i would not even be proud of
