Eating Las Vegas reports that Joe LaRue won today's pickle eating contest at the Carnegie Deli at The Mirage in Las Vegas. Stacy Hamilton says that Joe ate more than four pounds of pickles.

    Love the independent contests as well as mle, think it isn’t useful to talk about where independents would rank if they were in mle, time to let go of considering independents versus those with contracts with mle as lesser. GJoe and JamminJoe both contribute hugely to competitive eating, let’s have more of these contests of all kinds. Everyone is a “real” eater.
