Joe Menchetti repeats as “Big A” Challenge champion

A comment to a reflector.com article reports that Joe Menchetti repeated as winner of the “Big A” challenge contest held during last night’s UNC vs. East Carolina baseball game. Menchetti’s time to complete the 50 ounce burger was under 5 minutes, less than his winning time last year of 5:15. The attendance for the game was 5,581, reportedly the largest crowd to ever watch a regular season college baseball game in North Carolina.

I don’t care much for the publicity.

    Just show me the money!

    They had me at $1,000.

I also had a great time watching ECU beat NC, & b.s.ing w/Kenny (the owner) & Chubby Checker.

While I have never been a “member” of AICE, I feel as though I have been a remarkable part of its successes.

Arnie & I have had our differences, & will likely have more.

Did anyone think two principled hot heads would be w/each other for 6 yrs or so?!?

Not me, & i’m sure not the Shea’s.

I NEVER left, & I have NOT left.

While it would benefit me GREATLY if Pete went w/the ifoce, I unselfishly think its a mistake.

    If Pete doesn’t & won’t train, he is a 30-35 hdb’er.

However, it seems that whatever Pete does, he does wholeheartedly.

If he does that, he could be in the top 5 or higher.

I understand the allure of Coney, being seen by people you know & higher purses. (at the top)

For my sake, I hope he goes. For his, he shouldn’t.
