Cleveland.com has a preview of Friday's apple pie eating contest in Brunswick, OH where Joey Chestnut offers some training tips. Bob Shoudt and Adrian Morgan are other expected competitors. update A full competitors list includes Tim Janus and Sonya Thomas. According to the eatfeats database, the event will be the first IFOCE/MLE contest held on Friday the 13th.

    I strongly doubt Miki is “flown out,” unless she pays for it. She’s a newcomer to CE, and few people know who she is as of yet. Perhaps in a couple of years that may change, but that’s not a certainty.

    She apparently loves to compete, and is making half-way decent money, whereby it’s both fun and lucrative enough for her to pay her way to many events.
