I don’t know much about this competitive eating, nor do I care. I only know that I miss not being able to see Sonya’s web site. It’s almost like the death of a close friend or something. Her sweet face and wonderful smile are irreplaceable. I want her to come back soon.

actually, the IFOCE lists the record as:

    Pork and Beans (84 Lumber)
    84 ounces of baked beans
    1 minute 52 seconds
    Dale Boone

In fairness to Dale, Steakbellie, the Records page is incorrect. Very incorrect. On a single day at two locations, Boone, Larue, and Booker all ate their beans in under 1:52.

If the record is 1:22 then it’s 1:22, I don’t want any discrepancies once I’m done (but I’m sure there will)…As far as doing it in a contest vs. a stage, I have two things to say. First, I’ve waited 3 years for a contest and there hasn’t been any, so I had to make my own opportunity to do this. Second with a set amount like 84 ounces, there is no difference between a stage and a contest, as it’s a set amount a race against the clock. If there were no cap on the amount I would agree as someone could push past that amount and be more vulnerable to a reversal.

    Kong,
You should wear a Coon Skin Hat and ring a bell when you break the record. That would be pretty sweet.

Kong why argue with an idiot. It’s a total waste of time. If you break it he will find some excuse that you really didnt break it. Boone lives in his own world where everything is supposed to go right for him and everthing is supposed to go wrong for anybody else.

Lerman’s record of 6lbs in 1:46 is still the greatest. Remember that Lerman never got a chance to challenge Boone in any of those lumberjack heats. His name never even came up as an opponent
