Meredith "Deep Fried Diva" Boxberger has produced a video about her first (and also last) place finish in the women's division at the Nathan's qualifier in Garden City, MI two weeks ago. update May 8 The Barrie Examiner has an article about Meredith, who was a figure skater for 15 years and now owns a Little Caeasar's Pizza franchise. She will be competing in the Hooter's qualifier in Detroit Saturday.

    It’s funny that during the video the MC lists the challenges that Meredith has completed as eating accomplishments, but doesn’t mention that (legally, anyway) she is no longer allowed to do them.

    I noticed that in years past there has always been 16-19 spots at the final table. This year there are only 13 qualifiers with one wildcard winner. Making only 14 spots at the table. Did Nathans cut the amount down for men in order to pay for the womens contest or is there any possible way they open another 1 or 2 qualifiers or maybe add another wild card or two to fill the spots?

    They’ll probably do some crap like the China qualifier last year to fill the extra spots.
