June 2 MLE contest fields: Tim Janus, Bob Shoudt and Matt Stonie are expected to compete in Sunday's pastrami sandwich eating contest at Katz's Deli in Manhattan, Badlands Booker and Molly Schuyler are listed as favorites in the St. Paul, MN Nathan's qualifier and Sonya Thomas is expected to defend her Acme Oyster title in New Orleans. update May 29 Joey Chestnut confirms he will compete at Katz's and Aaron Osthoff will leave for New Orleans today.

    Miki has already qualified, so that would make no sense. On the other hand if she ate in either the oyster contest or the pastrami she could take a nice step in establishing herself as the dominant, new force in competitive eating. I think she could win wither of those.

    Heres the scoop for katz. The sandwiches will be 7oz each . They will be cut in halves. 5 halves to a plate and each half will be counted as 1 sandwich. They were told to put aside around 6 lbs for Joey which is equivalent to around 5 plates. This info right from horses mouth
