Registration will open tomorrow for the San Pedro Fish Market World Famous Shrimp Eating Championship Presented By The Kings Of Fi$h On The USS Iowa in San Pedro, CA on April 2. Other Los Angeles County contests added to the MLE schedule include the Day-Lee Foods World Gyoza Eating Championship on August 18 (registration opens June 18) and the Pacific Park World Taco Eating Championship on October 4 (registration opens August 1).

    About time The West Coast Got Some MLE Love. Now if they could just do more contests in July and August instead of October and June

    i predict by 2035 some of these so called MLE superstars will be 50yrs old pay a visit to the doctor and receive the grim news that they found a growth in their small intestine and they are given no choice but to remove the intestine The prospect of wearing a colostomy bag is pretty grim

    Prognosticator, your mind is pretty grim. People do not eat all of the time the way they do for contests. And most eaters train sporadically if at all. CE is fun for the competitors who do not take it too seriously. For those who are the winners of money, they likely train a bit more and have ways to stay healthy.
