    you use the term retired as if they were actually drawing a pension like a major league baseball player. Stephanie Torres saw competitive eating as a quick way to hustle a few bucks here and there and some of these restaurants like Virgilios pizza were stupid enough to pay her

    Seeing Miki eat in person makes me beleive she is the greatest female eater since Stephanie Woo.

    I know that Stephanie can eat 30+ HDBs in 10 minutes. I don’t know that about Miki. Both are freaky good with challenges. Right now, for me, it’s a toss-up between the two.

    Miki Sudo will wipe the floor with Sonya Thomas. Maybe not right away but by the summer the Black Widow will be devoting all her time to Burger King and give up CE period . Its Miki time Miki time spread the word and now

    11:41, you can spread that word, for as imperfect as I am, I do have some semblance of value toward my own reputation. And that’s no knock against Miki, as she is one helluvan eater! I am happy you realize that.

    Your contention, however, resurrects a cyclical theme people have embraced and then let go of for the 10 years TBW has been eating competitively. Eventually if Sonya competitively eats long enough, you’ll probably be able to say “I was right!” from the nursing home in your neighborhood.

    Stephanie Wu took a beating on this site a few yrs ago because of her views about Major Leauge eating and lack of Nathans qualifiers on the west coast. Many have tried to contact her since that time but it appears that she is nowhere to be found or has given up on the sport altogether . She could be dead for all we know and i am not trying to be funny about it.
