It is now one month to St. Patrick's Day. Last year, TooJay's announced it hoped to bring back the corned beef sandwich eating competition in 2014. There is no mention of a contest this year on the deli's web site or facebook.

    MLE sure is slow about announce events. What about king cake ? fat Tuesday is 3 weeks away and the rest of the Nathans / Hooters schedule.

    Never happen The Sheas were getting a 10 grand asking fee to do the contest. I doubt they would pay that kind of money to them now

    I heard that Toojays will agree to sponsor the contest as long as that don’t have to give any pity pay to Seiken like last time.

    of course they’re doing better than ape theyve been in it way longer but slowly APE is building steam getting more contest in every year its only a matter of time before they catch up !

    Shmookin was not invited because he is a bore and has nothing to say. Every one knows how he had a big appitite as a kid and used to clean out the ice box back in 1971. His last interview on the MLE podcast with Mike Antolini was worse than watching paint dry.

    That’s awesome APE lets their eaters compete in outside events. So generous they allow their eaters to spend their own travel money to go possibly win $100 or $500 if their lucky and just dream for the next blue moon when APE has some random event.
