You have the right idea Intimidator. I keep thinking back to what “Crazy Legs” Conti said years ago, which Sonya has quoted on her site several times also, as it is a most profound, yet simple statement: “If you can afford lunch, ” you can become a competitive eater!”

What that means to me is that it doesn’t matter what race, background, or socioeconomic status you have. CE is for everybody. It doesn’t discriminate. And if you work hard enough, and if you want it bad enough dreams do come true.

And, you know what, just about being the number one eater in the world either. Everyone has a niche in competitive eating. Crazy Legs, Sonya, Joey, Pat, B, Kevin Carr, Beautiful Brian, Dave Shoffner, Pat (from Moonachie), Gentleman Joe, Koby, Steakbellie, Eater X, and even Dale Boone, for example, have all found theirs. They’re all different and all but one is number 1.

Just remember that and have fun. Also, remember that it’s the journey that makes it all worthwhile, not the goal, for the goal means finality, but the journey is perpetual.

So, if I ate an 8lb bowling ball, and Pat B. ate a 16lb bowling ball, whose stomach capacity would be deemed greater?
