    i guess there were only 8 people in the contest because that’s all the totals that are out. no toro, no butler, nobody but the 8.

    Stork, I still have faith that they are going to post the other people’s totals, especially since they have to figure out at least the top 10 for the points thing. Though I’m getting a little worried that maybe something went wrong in the post contest frenzy and all the totals weren’t recorded – that would stink. But I say we give it a few more days before we conclude that they’re not going to. It’s still premature.

    yeah, premature. its only been almost 3 days since the contest ended. and they posted some weights and who finished 1-8. did they weigh everyones?

    I think they had to have weighed everyones. . .I couldn’t have been that far from 8th place. . .unless they thought I had one less tray then I actually did or something silly, I was close enough to Mih where they would have needed to weigh mine to determine who got 8th. At the end, they scooped up everyone’s debris and put them back in the trays, then carried them over to a weighing area. So I have to assume they indeed weighed everyone’s and weren’t pretending 🙂 Notice that the recap on the website doesn’t list the totals of anyone below 4th place. The rest of the totals posted on eatfeats came from BB and are not official. So they haven’t even posted the official totals for even the top 8 yet. I have no idea why it takes so long, but it took awhile for the bikini fries as well, so be patient. . .

    kevinross did none of the contestants witness the weighing? were you guys not allowed to see them do the weighing? is that how the weighing was done at the pretzel and bikini fries? thats some system if thats the case. that is no different than how it was in the past because they could do anything they want or not even weigh anyones. gjoe refers to $hea $isters but how about $hea $isters $ham.

    In the bikini fries, we went back and witnessed the weighing. Here, I believe they just weighed it on a table on stage right behind the eating table, so we could have watched if we wanted to. But honestly, I wasn’t paying attention. Not that I’m saying they’d intentionally weigh incorrectly, but maybe it would have been better if they weighed each person’s remainders in front of them. That way if there was some kind of oversight or something, the eater could point it out. But it’s not like they were hiding or doing anything secretive. I could have watched them weigh mine if I wanted to. I just didn’t think about it or pay attention. I was kinda distracted by how poorly I did. The bigger problem was that I don’t think there was a judge watching carefully in front of the eaters (apparently a couple possible DQ incidents went unnoticed, I heard). But anyway, I don’t see why people are obsessed with thinking these things are fixed because it seems like you’re implying that. It’s just paranoia. They have no motivation or monetary gain to be had by fixing anything. It just doesn’t make sense. You’re kinda grabbing at straws there.

    forget the fixing angle. kevinross you must be a very good yes man or at least pretty naive. give it time and that will wear off of you. its now what almost 4 days since the contest – no full results, no point update, no nothing. i guess thats what the ifoce is good for a whole lot of nothing.

    IThanks for the insults! You have to cut people some slack sometimes. Keeping full track of all the totals and the points system is still a new thing. It is understandable they have to work out the kinks. . .If they take a long time to post the full results, that is still a whole lot better than what they used to do, which was not post them at all!

    yes and no i guess. i was in the albuquerque grilled cheese did not do well but i have done some non ifoce events since like the local wing bowl. if i can not do any more ifoce then fine.

    WTF, I look scared? I’m a little camera shy and get uncomfortable posing for pics sometimes. . .but if you’re trying to infer I’m scared of women, then you’re way off base. . .try saying something rude to me like that without hiding behind a psuedonym and see what happens.

    Don’t worry ecofi, I’m not taking this stuff too seriously. And thanks for the compliment!

    BTW, I am surprised that captain anonymous can actually see my hand trembling in a still photograph 🙂 Plus, I’d like to think of myself more as a Vinnie Barbarino than a James Dean. Up your nose with a rubber hose!

    Davie, you are right about the jealousy. I’m outspoken and willing to jump into things headfirst without worrying about failure. . .I’m sure that aggravates the cowards hating on me. . .Why do I have a feeling anonymous here is someone that tried competitive eating, sucked at it, and just gave up instead of plugging away and trying to improve?
