Randy Santel announced that he completed a burger challenge at Boss Hoggz in Homer, AK to become the 3rd person (after Ramsey Hilton and Ivan Mendoza) to complete restaurant challenges in all 50 states.

    what a sad sad man. I wonder what his family thinks of him leaving a handsome paying job with benefits to compete in cheap eating challenges which couldnt even cover ones bar bill . I wouldnt quit my day job anytime soon to pursue a career in $200 eating challenges and dont forget a neat looking T-shirt to go along with it

    Here the thing with YT You dont make money off YT per say You make money off the ads placed on your videos Once ads stop you make nothing . Brian Dudlight was doing well he received a plaque for 100k subscribers . He is earning nothing right now because his videos were demonitized recently one would assume due to content .He pukes alot and that is unacceptable with the YT guidelines . I doubt he will be competing at Nathans because he is upset about his partial income being taken away from him

    10000 views = $100?? not in my experience
    a lot depends on channel/videos
    I average $1 per 1,000 views
    so 1,000,000 views roughly equal to $1000, but channels that consistently get more views than that probably earn at a higher rate due to better ads/google charging companies more for the ‘prime’ advertising spots

    YT is not a set system One day you can make a $1 Next day $100. Its all about the ads on your video and they have to watch it for at least 30 seconds to make any money from it . The advanced ads are the ones that run 5 seconds before your video comes on That is guaranteed income . Once you have a sponsor you dont need stupid ads Check out Stonies latest videos nor more ads He makes 250 k after taxes

    Before YT i was uploading videos to AOL hometown through 3rd party HTML Took hours to upload video to the page Some still had dialup at the time so it would take them a few days to watch BB corner How primitive we were back then. YT was in its infant stages and they only allowed 15 min of upload time to new accounts 30 min if you had account 6 months and unlimited uploads if you have account for a year That was 2005 Monetization and ad sense came about 4 yrs later I would accumulate hundreds sometimes thousands of hits on AOL and Yahoo home page but for what ? Revenue sharing didnt exist with those sites and besides i did it for fun and entertainment I was pulling in $800 a month selling my VHS fights and movies on ebay and porn on yahoo YT threw a big monkey wrench into that one and by 2006 i was out of business With all that i am still content Whoever is making money on YT more power to them I wont deny i am a little jealous but my day will come and when it does the same greedy bastards who turned their back on me knowing that i could use a boost or two will get the same treatment from me They dont want to know you unless you got a million views or things turn viral

Only one flaw under estimated yearly earnings Which amount is believable Using Matt Stonie as example $181k – $2.9 million . Which are we more inclined to go with First figure or the second?     Yeah it doesnt seeem accurate Either you made an exact amount or you didnt Approximating especially with that huge of a gap tells us nothing Also keep in mind that YT keeps 50% of what you earned not sure if they take their cut before or after the earned amount on the chart and for the small youtubers you acnt withdraw a dime until you earn $100 per month

    I am a youtube earner for many years Not in the same ball park as Stonie or Furious Pete but i hold my own. First off Youtube has to recommend the video for any real movement to take place . The amount of revenue you earn is based upon the topic and CPM which stands for cost per mile =1000 views. The longer the watch time and longer the video the more you get paid Advertisers pay different rates for different channels Some youtubers get 10 million views and they only make 5k where others make 150k with the same amt of views because that is what the channel CPM is paying them. Social blade is spot on when it comes to subscribers and amt of views because they pull that info directly from the youtubers pages but when it comes to estimated ad revenues they are way way off . Another thing to mention is sponsorship . Some sponsors will pay anywhere from $500 to $5000 per video depending on the topic . If you get sponsorship the YT earnings is just some side gravy I hope i was able to answer some of your concerns
