Registration is now open for the Creek Indian Taco Eating Contest at Wind Creek Casino in Atmore, AL on March 29. The oyster eating competition held at last year's event does not appear to be returning.  update Feb 11 Registration for The Magnify Credit Union World Ice Cream Eating Championship  in Lakeland, FL on April 12 will open today at noon eastern.

    Mmm, Mmm, Mmm … delicious Indian Tacos —- hardly. X should take this, unless Joey participates.

    Wonder why they’re not having the oysters. I suspect it could be bad for business with two sponsors for the same food. I wouldn’t blame Acme if they expressed concern after last year’s event.

    It’s apparent MLE doesn’t want to remember Sonya’s 445 oysters in 5 minutes as a record. Here it is 9 months later and it is still not mentioned on their “Records” page (go to http://www.ifoce.com/records.php). (It is mentioned on the “Details” page for that event, however.)

    There’s a good change you might see Chestnut, Stonie, and Miki in this one. Last year’s event was held on the same day as the Stockton Deep Fried Asparagus eating contest.

    MLE has become an organization for only the wealthy to compete. Who has $500 to throw around on airfare not counting hotel and road service. When they post these events on twitter they make it seem like since your a member of MLE its your duty to drop a grand just so you can compete against the likes of Jaws Stonie and some of the other greats

    “Magnify” Credit Union? I could never envision that name for a financial institution. This puts the onus squarely on the customer to read the fine print on all their products.
