Excellent interview by Tim. He was evidently the big favorite.

There comes a time when one must consider retirement. Badlands Booker and maybe Crazy Legs Conti should start weighing options

Unlike other boring eaters that ramble on constantly about themselves, Eater X never talks over anyone waiting for the commentator to finish before he says his piece. It’s called manners either you have it or you dont/ I hate when announcers say look at you your so thin where do you put all that food. I cannot tell you how many times i have heard that same redundant line over and over again in the last 7or 8 yrs

Retirement? Maybe if they did not make Nathans and Krystal finals year after year but these guys do what they do for the love of it man. Badlands and Legs are what people should strive to be, least of all eaters. Scholars, saints, and eaters till the day they die.

Adrian Morgan is going to be the next IFOCE rookie of the year…he keeps getting overlooked, but this dude is the real deal. He was also in our PB & B eating contest in Biloxi, and beat a bunch of ranked eaters there…this Tiger’s got a bite!

I believe Sonya was seen eating the bones and that is how she won. Afterwards Mr Janus was seen complaining to the Rhythm City officials, demanding the prize money be split so all competitors got a fair compensation.

I heard the same. Janus was complaining about Sonya making a huge mess . There was also a substancial amt of debris from the other competitors. Another tainted victory for Ms Thomas

She should have been PENALIZED for eating the bones? No way… she should be given extra credit for eating the bones! Besides, how much weight does fish bones add to the total? Probably not much. She would have been better off eating some meat from a few more fish than trying to choke down some bones. If anything, the bones slowed her down, so there’s no reason to complain that she ate them.

As for Badlands and Crazy Legs retiring, let’s not forget that this is competitive eating. They’re not playing first base and center field for the Yankees. As long as they want to compete and are having fun and entertaining fans (they’re two of the best in that area), they should keep on eating.

Same whining he does at every contest that he doesn’t win – this isn’t anything new. Everyone eats messy except him.

FIRST he skips BEN at the big corned beef contest, then he COMPLAINS about losing to SONYA. At least it is more entertaining listening to his excuses then when he was on that one video clip being interviewed.

Here’s a novel idea (except Ray was first): Congratulations to both Tim and Sonya.

I’ve a sneaky suspicion no one complained about anything. The anonymous posters, to include that Captain Sig person, just want to make trouble. As a matter of fact, I read that Tim told the media that Sonya won “fair and square.” I think Tim’s probably one of the classier guys in CE. I don’t think he’d ever complain unless he was damn well justified!

I also read on Sonya’s site that she considered herself lucky to win, because the contest was really close.

I strongly doubt there were many, if any, bones getting in the way; otherwise, how can any eater speedeat fish with that on his mind?

And to say anyone should “retire,” because they had a less than stellar day is ludicrous, especially since they’ve been to the Nathan’s Finals at least a half dozen times each. Even Nolan Ryan got hit hard and left the game on many occasions during his HOF-level career.

    … Crapola! …

Unfortunately I am quickly reminded why I don’t frequent this site anymore. Too many haters. I bet you are the same morons who go home and kick your dog if you have a bad day. One word………LOSERS!

    Get lives you haters.

Congrats to Sonya. If there was excessive debris the “judges” should have addressed it. No matter what Tim is still a class guy in my book.
