Loren, I doubt Mr. Negativity even likes himself (or herself). That’s too bad. I think he just needs attention. But he’s getting the wrong kind. Perhaps if everyone simply ignores him, like a decaying tooth, he’ll just … fade … away (input-wise to this otherwise wonderful Blog). I really do hope he gets the help he needs, however. I really do. It’s a shame that any person has to have such a fatalistic outlook on people and life.

I believe Mr. Negativity is really a Jealous Dale Boone, who now faces stiff competition ( unlike I gave him ) here in Georgia…check out my website, http://www.tropicmon.com for some face-stuffing pictures, art, and other tax stuff!! Some famous eaters are visible beating me ( in eating, that is )

Guys, there’s room for all kinds of energy within the competitive eating community: positive, negative, neutral, whatever. Mr. Negativity is just as worthy of our respect as Mr. Positivity and Mr. Neutrality and Mr. Leaning-Toward-The-Positive-But-Still-Not-Quite-Sure and Mr. Used-To-Be-Really-Positive-But-Hasn’t-Been-Since-His-Wife-Cheated-On-Him-And-Gave-Him-Herpes-But-Probably-Will-Be-Really-Positive-Again-When-His-Current-Infection-Subsides. So let’s cut Mr. Negativity some slack and accept him for who he is.

And Mr. Negativity, you may be a curmudgeon, but you’re our little curmudgeon, and I salute you for remaining steadfast in your negative ways. You’re nothing if not reliable.
