Stephanie Wu has updated her website with reports on her recent trip to upstate California which included a slider eating contest and 5 pound burger challenge in Redding and the famous pancake challenge in Seiad Valley.

    Any talk of records aside, I appreciated the photographs of the extreme northern parts of California! It’s a place few people probably see.

    Well, no more world records haha! I removed all the references to “world record” from my site and YouTube, as far as I can tell. If I did have the fastest time, I just call them “record fastest time” now. I think I just have one more mention of “world record” in one of my videos, which means I have to re-edit that and re-upload, but I don’t want to lose any comments.

    It was supposed to be a 5-challenge, 5-day road trip, but I got a little sick from the pancakes on Day 4, so I called it quits one day early. I didn’t do great, winning just the hot dog eating contest on Day 1. But I came ohhhh so close on the pancakes. Next time, I have to just blitz them as fast as I can. I tend to suck when a contest becomes a marthon. Also, a little embarrassed about my performance on the sliders, eating only nine in 10 minutes. Gina, a thin girl in her 20’s, destroyed me, eating 17.5. I think I need to lose weight, lol 🙂

    There is also a contest not listed on EatFeat: it is a 3-person team pizza eating contest in Redding, CA. I have to get the details about that and will post when I fnd out.
