IMPOSSIBLE!!! Joey and Sonya ate more than 8lbs last year! Were the fries this year straight out of the freezer or something!?!

Gabe Kaplan was there? Mr Kotter?? I was the principal on that show. Everyone wanted to look like Vinny Barbarino back then. Even me

Those must have been some super tough fries. The fact that they were really that tough is hard to swallow.

Grrr; I did terrible. I was a dummy and drank WAY too much liquid too fast and sabatoged myself. I think I went through half a gallon for just the first pound or so. . .I don’t know what my brain was thinking 🙂 I’m curious to know what my official total was. . .it should be somewhere between 2.5-3 pounds. I think the problem with the fries that made people’s totals lower than last year was that the fries were rather cold. I mean, there was cheese all on top that was not even slightly melted. And the chili wasn’t mixed in with the fries very much, but just sitting on top, and there wasn’t that much chili for the amount of fries. I figured somebody would get 9lbs or something based on last years totals, but the fries must have been different, as you can tell from the totals.

Oh; and there was this guy there that gave me a note with an excuse from his mother. . .I think his name might have been Epstein. . .I don’t know what that was all about. . .

The best episode of kotter was when the sweathogs tried to impress the new blonde female student from calif . I think Lerman got his comedy shtick from Gabe Kaplans jokes to his tv wife at the beginning of the show. Hey Julie did i ever tell you about my uncle ben?

Interesting day. Takeru was there and that was a nice surprise for the crowd. The amatuer haggis eating contest was fun to watch, and it appears that Eater X took some of the leftovers home with him (look out, Barry Noble).

Also, the fries were slow eating. I don’t know why Wienerschnitzel did not serve their restaurant-size fry portions. It was as if Krystal’s would have people eat 1/2 pound burgers during a contest. It may be easier to judge, but it did not represent their brand well. It was nice to have the top eight place in the money and still have a big $4,000 prize for the winner.

I took some pictures and if it works, you can view them here:

I would definitely copy and paste that one.

Juliet is doing great. If she is able to get to a contest without Joey or Pat participating. She could very well win. Overall she is probably about the third best eater in America as we speak and I am sure she will topple Kobayashi eventually. She is pretty so I believe everything she says. She should be able to eat about 45 dogs this year and probably 55 or 60 next year.

Did you ever stop and think that Joey ate only enough to win? That’s because I read that Koby was going to be in attendance. Why tip his hand? That being said, Juliet is coming on strong and will replace Joey as the # 1 American within a year or two. She is better than Sonya right now. That is how good she is.

Jed; I agree they should have went with normal restaurant portions. I know I would have done much better if they had as what we ate really wasn’t like what is served normally at the restaurants.

Mega Munch; I think they weighed everyone because the numbers were awfully close. However, weinerschnitzel only seemed to have the top 8 people’s totals recorded on this piece of paper they had (i.e. those that they paid). I hope IFOCE kept everyone else’s weights. I’m sure they did due to the point system, as they have to know who was in 9th and 10th place. Also, last year’s contest they posted everyone’s totals I noted to the very last guy, so it shouldn’t be different this time. I’m curious to see where everyone out of the money stood.

Todd, it was great meeting you as well and I defintely look forward to doing the next contest with you.

Oh, and it was defintely fun to meet Kobayashi and Juliet was really nice as well (and called me cute, heh heh). She’s defintely going to go far in CE.

They gotta stop with feeding shit food to human beings. I am referring to the chilli fries . What do they think competitive eaters are, rats? You dont feed that kind of stuff to human beings. Maybe not now but years later bad quality or uncooked food can do damage to one’s intestines . Would the Shea’s or Ryan Nerz eat that kind of food ?

To the Welcome Back Kotter fans. . .

I forgot to mention, a couple years ago I purchased an entire set of novelizations from the series off of ebay. Yes, somebody actually made full on novels of Welcome Back Kotter. Funniest thing ever. I strongly suggest any Kotter fans check out ebay and try to find them.

Ive heard also that the fries were not cold but not warm like last years and that the cheese wasnt even melted. What vac says is true. Hot or cold I dont think Juliet would have eaten more though. Like that old saying what goes in must come out. Well she talks shit so shitty food is likely whay shes used to.

Luther, could you please just SHUT UP? When you become a competitive eater and beat everyone, THEN you can talk. I’m not a competitive eater, but I’m not trashing everyone, am I?
