WKRG reports that Ken Orndoff broke a 7 year old record at Wintzell's Oyster House in Mobile, Alabama by eating 421 oysters in an hour. During the attempt, oysters entered his mouth more than 421 times. (See this al.com video for an explanation.)

    Worth watching. We’ve all been to this point and its a matter of what you do after. This is an ordinary with guts and spirit.

    It depends on what you mean by “proud.” I don’t believe anyone’s proud of the fact that he ate his own regurgitation, but more generally the competitive eating community does celebrate people who eat excessive amounts of food.

    Most of the people who excel at eating look much more masterful while doing it…. this guy obviously continued to eat past any sense of comfort.
