Stonie – able to change vacation return flight??? Perhaps that would work, or how about changing returning destination from vacation to be straight to Biloxi instead of Cali?

It would be great if you could work things out because you are not only a newcomer but someone who can challenge the very top eaters. Every opportunity you have to show us your talent and get more experience will benefit you. I understand that there are financial issues, true for all eaters, but you have a bigger stake than most in giving this your all as you have a much better chance than most to earn some money with your participation. Good Luck, I’ll be interested to follow you and see how your eating career continues.

Stonie, relax. Do what you want to do. There have been plenty of contests for many years, and there will plenty of them for many more. You can burn yourself out if you take the advice of “Hmm said” and worry about every opportunity. If you want to go to PB&B so badly that you’re willing to change your vacation plans and incur a $200 all for the reward of a few hundred dollars and a stomach ache, go for it. If you’d rather enjoy your vacation to the fullest, do that instead. These people (adults no less!) that waste all of their money traveling to every contest as if the next one is going to be their big moment are delusional. Bottom line: have fun but don’t kill yourself, live a balanced life, and don’t let yourself get out of control.

    Get off Stonie’s ass!

Contests are only a few times per month, and of those, no one participates in more than a couple per month, on average, so I hardly believe CE is anyone’s entire life.

Those comments from 1:40 are from one of several disgruntled eaters who probably made CE a bigger part of their lives than they should have, and now, looking back, reflecting on things, this person just wants to shit in the fruit punch at other eaters’ parties, so to speak.

    Sad, but, funny, actually.

A few times a month = a lot of contests.

It could be Stonie’s life. Some school and no job constittutes an abundance of time.

TBH, the contest wouldn’t cut from my vacation, just a flight late thursday night vs early friday morning would cost $200 more & this truely is one of the contests i REALLY wanted to do =[
Also the whole thing of taking over my life…. I’m glad whoever said that feels they’re a proper representitive to make such a claim…
I take it serious and go to college, big deal lol

I often wonder too how much effort Stonie puts into all his training compared to many of the other top eaters. I’m sure it takes a decent chuck of his life up. But honestly, if I were 19, with the way he’s traveling the world, making a name for himself, and probably making 5x what the average kid is his age is making, I think Matt knows what he’s doing.

Those who critize Matt for the effort he must put forth I must assume are just jealous or lack insight.
    Keep it up Matt!

If those of you knocking Stonie spent as much time doing something constructive with your lives versus slicing, dicing, and analyzing Stonie’s predicament, you’d be much better off.

At the tender age of 18/19, he’s already got himself together more than most of us who are more than old enough to be his mother or father.

Most of us could learn a lot from him, especially when it comes to, of all things, maturity and responsibility.

If you can’t say somethng positive about him, keep it to yourselves, or spout forth your opinion in the Romper Room, I mean Off-Topic, thread.

Second what Rhonda wrote for sure. Wasn’t pressuring Stonie, as if I could, just thought he would enjoy this contest and again measure himself against the top eaters. He is one of the best new (male) eaters to come along in a very long time, talented, humble, seems mature and very well grounded. Cheering for you Stonie.

Rhonda, how much time have you spent with Stonie or talked with him to really back up what you just said? I’m not saying you’re wrong, and I’m not criticizing Stonie, but you have no idea what you’re talking about. You’re just saying something to say something, which of course is what you love to do.

A 10:09, I know him well enough to state what I did. I can also make sense of what read, even before I received 6 years of formal education in that area.

Perhaps one day you’ll have that ability. Try spending less time judging and more time learning.

Also get an eatfeats account. Otherwise, by the time you reply back your response will not mean very much—-even less than it does right now.
