Croatian Sports has a blog entry about Brian Subich, who will compete in Saturday's Nathan's qualifier in Charlotte to try to qualify for the Nathan's finals for the third time.

    I choose Charlotte because it will be the first time my mom and some friends get to see me compete , considering I’m from the area, and it is memorial day weekend.

    Yes there is a Ft. Lee qualifier, however getting to VA on a Thursday would be very hectic for me. My goal was to win a qualifier this year, and I want it to be a normal qualifier. I will consider Ft. Lee if I don’t leave Charlotte the victor, however I don’t see that happening.

    Do you realize what you are doing? Subich although rarely chimes back here is very sensitive about these comments and because of that you run the risk of him not showing up in Charlotte. Nasty comments have been made about him before on this site just before a contest and he never showed up . Maybe you should apologize

    Crazy Legs Conti is a sore loser His actions after the Charlotte contest two years ago when Subich won by half a dog tells the story. Nobody wanted to claim the half a weiner that was on the floor after the contest so Subich was awarded the victory. Conti stormed off the stage went home and hid under the covers in his bed for one week . When Subich tried to call him to console him Conti hung up on him. Total lack of character
