Acccording to the article, “Bill was ranked 4th in the world in competitive eating and was crowned the winner of WIP Wing Bowl’s 7, 9, 10, 11 and 13.” Me confused? When was that? At MLE he could only 18 dogs? Suzanne “Suzilla” French must have taken that title away from him. What is it with being ranked fourth in the world? Send 12 bucks to Dale Boone and you get ranked fourth in the world in competitive eating and please limit all fourth in world rankings to three per household? They also should of added that he was once a Publisher’s Clearing House finalist.

And eating 10 lbs. of Tootsie Rolls a week. What’s up with that? Does just feel the need to lie once a day? Besides this dumbass reporter, but is he actually expecting people to buy this stuff? Fourth in the world? Twentysix hot dogs? I guess he invented the internet too. Now I get it, this guy is perfect for a rigged contest — the Wingbowl.

Chewing tootsie rolls for developing jaw strength…..as old as CE for a technique……nothing new.

Hmm, I know Tootsies are used for jaw strength, gum is too. But, 10 lbs. of Tootsie Rolls a week on top of the 10 lbs. of food he eats a day? When would he have the time to eat his 10 lbs of food each day? According to Amazon 10 lbs. of Tootsie Rolls is 650 pieces. He literally would have to spend his entire day just eating cold Tootsie Rolls, crapping taffy, toothles, with the heart rate of hummingbird. I hope you don’t buy this guy’s bull? Remember, he’s also the guy who awed us with 26 dogs at Nathan’s and stopped to watch Kobi eat, earning him a fourth in the world ranking. So, here I am at Nathan’s, the 12 minutes aren’t up yet, and I’ve already downed 26 dogs. Boy, I could win this thing! Nah, I think I’ll stop and watch Kobi eat. Yeah, right.

@Whaaa? said, thank you. I was discounting the tootsie rolls along with everything else but not paying attention to the numbers. You have beautifully laid out how completely ridiculous his posturing is, and I do hope that you or someone will call him or the reporters or WIP on this because it is simply………..well, lies and more lies and beyond puffing PR. It mocks competitive eating rather than respecting it.

Wingbowl does that, so that is no surprise but………perhaps this is just an unhealthy stew because MLE eaters did participate in Wingbowl, he did participate in an MLE contest, and now Kobayashi is going to be featured. What is the so called average fan to make of all of this? They probably do not look closely at all and do not make distinctions. If you say it or it is in the media, it must be true. There seem to be a lot of fourth in the world eaters at the moment but someone keeps writing that and saying that. If it continues, people will believe it fully and those making money can keep doing so. The reporters get paid, MLE makes money, WB makes money for someone, I am guessing that AICE makes very little if any and WLOCE makes minus but who knows. Lots of huffing and puffing going on.
