Wing Bowl 21 rules released – first Wing Off Wednesday

The official announcement for Wing Bowl 21 will take place Monday, but contest rules have already been posted containing information on how to qualify for the finals in Philadelphia on Feburary 1, 2013:

  • The majority of finalists will qualify by successfully completing an in-studio stunt. (Stunt submission form)
  • Five first round Wing Offs will be held at Philadelphia area PJ Whelihan’s. The first Wing Off will take place November 28 in Cherry Hill, NJ. The winners of the first round Wing Offs will then compete in a second round Wing Off to win a spot in the finals. An in-studio Wing-Off will also be held between two people who almost finished their stunt.
  • CBS Radio stations in Washington, DC “The Fan”, New York City (WFAN 660), Boston “The Sports Hub”, Chicago “The Score” and Dallas “The Fan” will hold qualifiers sending the winner to the finals. The regional winners will receive $200 and travel expenses.
  • Former champions Takeru Kobayashi, Jon Squibb, Joey Chestnut, Bill “El Wingador” Simmons will receive byes and not have to qualify. (It is likely that 100% of those invitations will not be accepted.)
  • There are no restrictions on “professionals” or non-locals.
  • The overall winner will receive $20000 and a Wing Bowl Champion Ring and gold medal. The top competitor fro the Philadelphia area will win a Chevy Camaro.

Funny how TBW was not included. They must want to save her from being embarrassed. That’s respectable of them.

The funny thing is Squibb actually thinks he can and will beat Takeru at this wing bowl. Squibb can train everyday to dam near death until the event and I will bet my life and life savings that Takeru will smoke him again even worse than the first time. It’s comedy to see Squibbs interview’s where he believes he can beat Kobi. lololol

I think as an courtesy , Wingador should be allowed to order a plate of wings during his incarceration on the day of wingbowl

Squibb is a great wing bowl champ, but he has no chance whatsoever against the tsunami. He can probably beat evreybody else, though.

Has anyone heard anything on Wingador and his cocaine trial? Nothing been reported since last June

Seiken deserves to be in Wingbowl after being screwed over in 2004 . He was promised a spot if he came in first or second in the wingoff. He came in second got nothing except for free tickets to the fixed event which he declined . He is a legend and deserves to be treated as such

In August, Bill announced he would bounce back on America’s Biggest Eater facebook page. That is the latest news I have seen.

Kobi will not do Wing Bowl this year , is that not clear !?

If Seiken is in MLE he cannot participate in Wingbowl. If he is not, he can enter or try to qualify.

Kobayashi is competing this year and that is a fact Fat Cat. He is coming to town, collecting his $20,000 and bolting. Squibb will most likely take the car but the funny thing is, why would anybody else waste their time. The radio guys are catering this fixed school to them. Although it seems like a fun event to be at, why would the eaters waste take part? This is fixed and is slowly becoming a borefest, Not the event it once was 10-15 years ago. Stay home fools!

He’de stupid not to compete. Fat Cat is delerious.

The reason the Black Widow wasn’t mentioned is that she exposed this sham of a contest as a racist, fixed loser fest. One year she kicked El Cokeador’s ass and for the first time got this crap fest above the fold newspaper coverage from the media. Then the next year they throw out more than 15 of her plates so Angelo Cataldi could have his local hero. Now, not even local media treats this tragedy of humanity with any ligitimacy. If Kobayashi shows up it would just further expose what a joke he’s evolved into. Yet, I’m not sure Hofmann’s will allow Kobi to compete. I’m sure the other Hofmann owners aren’t exactly looking forward to having their company’s spokesperson flanked by racists, hookers, porn stars and strippers while the audience flash their boobs and their boyfriends puke in the aisles. Actually, now that I think about it Wing Bowl’s a perfect fit for Kobayashi. A liar (Kobi never signs contracts) willing to screw others (“Team Kobi” fans, independent eaters, Nathan’s, Crif Dogs, West Coast hot dogs, etc.) teaming up with a contest that has an actual coke dealer as its most celebrated champion. Oh, and one more thing, if El Cokeador is free come Wing Bowl time, the only rational explanation is that he ratted out his drug sources to cut a deal and save his butt.

WIP sucks! They find a way to screw everybody every time. Furious Pete, Stephanie Torres, Squib, Tiger Wing, US Male, even Chestnut- they all get screwed for something when they compete. That piece of trash Howard Stern wanna be Angelo sticks it to everybody BUT Kobi. He was to busy blowing him to do otherwise. Angelo fixes the numbers, Angelo decides who wins. Then he treats them like garbage to. It’s fake- get the picture?

The truth will come out one of these days. Angelo wanted Seiken in wingbowl in 2004 because he found it amazing that he beat Cookie Jarvis in pickles. Its on video if you want proof. I mean really nobody beats Cookie in anything back in the day. But of course Al is the boss and he literally flipped a coin after Seiken came in 2nd in the wingoff and told Seiken no go. . I think for posterity sake he should let him in

What i meant was there is a video of Angelo actually saying on WIP that he wants Seiken in

Thank you BS, why don’t you just leave MLE and try to compete. Really, back in the day, back in the day, no one, least of all in the now cares about that crap, only you care about it and have to put your name on here. Or BS has a buddy who posts this crap. Pickled out.

I think the fix is in AGAIN. Angelo will bring in a bunch of indy hacks who aren’t even good enough to be scrapped off MLE shoes. They will all go to the finals. He’ll pull more of this winner by one wing crap or even give them a few plates like he did for Kobi. He’s had it out for Squib for years now. Calls him boring, a loser, all kinds of smack. Never lets anyone win a straight 4. He wanted him to loose last year so he did. He’ll find another way to crush the kid this year. Calling him names on the air and bowing to Kobi’s every whim last year (after Kobi threatened WIP with a lawsuit) didn’t scare him off. I’ll admit that Squib has a knack for wings. That’s about it, but I’ll give him The wings. Sorry to see Angelo dump all over him cause at the end of the day he is a nice kid. Angelo just wants controversy and this is the one day a year he gets to be “important”.

132: Regretably Mr. “Wingfarce” has long since burned the very bridge he apparently now wishes to cross long ago. He doesn’t get it does he? Forseiken would add nothing to the event, zip, zero, nada … well except maybe for that uncomfortable creepy old guy stalker type stare he gives all ladies (ie: ME, BW etc..) and some men (ie: LAB, CC etc… you know its true BB… Yeah it is that obvious). The drooling may even scare the likes of the “ladies” who attend Wingbowl.

You got me confused with another stalker the convicted one. If k want to stare down a female for sexual intentions it won’t be female comp eaters and it certainly aint you whoever the fuck you are. Oh wait a minute you’re the no life ass that has that obsession with my every move. The one that says constantly ” seiken doesn’t get it” Do yourself a huge favor cowardly creep and give it up while the going is good cause you won’t win a rank out war with me that’s for sure.. By the way people that won’t post their real identities are the insecure creeps of our society.
