I am already practicing for my hot dog eating contest with the President-Elect. A picture of this future contest in progress has magically appeared on my website, http://www.tropicmon.com. Congrats to Obama, he is now a contender for the best dressed eater list 2009.
As Erik the Red has mentioned on his blog awhile back, Obama and his family are big competitive eating fans…..now we need to get that Rose Garden MLE sanctioned contest put together. George, Rich, Dale, Ryan, consider this my official entry – I know I’m the first to register for this one!

I am glad Obama won mainly to rid us of Bush and his stinkin republican army but already there are hints of black white racism. The man has not even entered the white house and i heard some people in the street yelling . Its Obama time the chickens have come home to roost. If that kind of bigotry is tolerated , then blacks, whites and the nation as a whole will remain divided for quite some time.

not true. If you look into it further you will see that there were no measures being voted on to raise taxes, only to get rid of loop holes and outdated credits. Obama wants to allow tax credits to expire on their 2011 date, amd make permanent tax cuts in that bracket.

It wasn’t a blanket increase, retard. You’re talking about a microscopic subset of that income bracket who would have faced higher taxes. You’re basically repeating a very misleading criticism of the McCain campaign.

Leave the politics out of the message board, especially if, like Anonymous 9:18, you’re too stupid to understand what you’re saying.

Though I’m a registered Republican, I do recognize that competent leaders can come from either party. However, I do not trust the US government when Democrats occupy the White House, AND control both “houses” of the legislature, as they do now. (Neither does the stock market, by the way … just watch where it goes from here over the next several months.)

We’ve got some big changes forthcoming now. I have a feeling that in 2 years people will be just as displeased (if not more so) as they have been the last 2 years. I’m talking internationally, primarily.

I just hope we can stand it.

Rhonda, one would assume that you have alot of money if you are a registered republican.. 6 figures perhaps? I say give the man a chance . He hasn’t even been sworn in yet. I understand black people rejoicing over something they never dreamed would happen but if the intention is to use his name for racist or militant purposes then its not the white people who are the haters of society.

Enjoy dancing in the streets and blaring your car horns now. I’m no pundit, but I’m siding with Rhonda on this one – hope you still feel like dancing next November.

Anyway, I got sidetracked – what does this have to do with a pizza-eating contest in Florida? Other than Hall and Joey, who’s going? Did Sonya register – does anyone aside from me really care?

Wow, I’ve got way too many questions…as usual.

  18. anonymous said

Mccain never belonged in the presidential race to begin with. They could have dug up Barry Goldwater’s remains and used him as the opposition to Obama

  19. Rhonda Evans said (Registered March 6, 2008)

Anonymous, you have a false perception if you believe being Republican is about having money, but I won’t get into that, because I don’t want to get any deeper into politics here.

Stevie, I doubt Sonya would consider registering for a pizza contest with a total purse of $2,500, especially now. With Joey going, second place wouldn’t even cover travel expenses.

I’m not even convinced we’ll see her eat at another bonafide contest for quite some time—-maybe next year some time. Anyway, both the IFOCE and Sonya may well be quite content with the way things are. In the meantime, maybe this will elicit additional female talent to enter contests without the pressure of having to eat against Sonya.

I still remember Marie “Chain Gang” Chang. She seemed really nice, and was very attractive. I wish she had remained much longer.

    Rhonda,

The stock market rallied in anticipation of an Obama victory and then sold off this morning as the wisest among traders and investors sought to capture profits from the run-up. It’s an extension of the kind of behavior that often happens in anticipation of good news: buy the rumor, sell the news.

Anonymous — the stock market DOES NOT TRUST POLITICIANS, so it relies on a party-divided House and Senate to factor out the risk with differing policies, as to keep each other in check. (I used to teach this in school.) But with either party controlling the Presidency, House, AND Senate, as the elder Bush would say … “That’s bad … that’s bad!”

There are exceptions to the rule, but that’s been true, generally.

There hasn’t been any affects directly contributed to a total Democrat control in the past. There was the Republican control before the 1929 crash, but it is a little more complicated than blaming the Republicans. Britain had more to do with it than the Republicans did. W Bush’s disaster period was Republican controlled, but it was him, not his party, that left us where we are today. People don’t feel easy about it, since a lot of them are irrational and believe anything they hear at the local bar.

“He also said that he would “BANKRUPT” the coal industry.” That isn’t even close. He wants to penalize polluters, so if a coal burning power plant would open and didn’t take measures to burn clean, it would go bankrupt. They should. Look at the mess created by industries dumping chemicals into our waters, and polluting the air.

Once again you can’t hide yourself. Your ignorant comments and typing skills ( or lack thereof) make it obvious. Hayboy, you are proving to be an evil presence not only in the competitive eating world, but, now, in the real world. You are a sick, sick, bitter, and stupid man.
I feel sorry for anyone who deals with you in your new awful league, or anyone who has to listen to you calling them. Bubba, I can’t believe you would ever associate with such a person. You are too good for that. You don’t have to join his league to win independent contests, just go win them without the racist banner of the WLOCE behind you – PLEASE!
My plea is to OJrifkin, please block Boone’s computer from every posting on this website again, please ignore his eating league, and ban him, and all his aliases, from here for good. His latest streak of comments are wicked, dangerous, racist, insulting, and horrible in their intent. I’m willing to have my comments banned too, if both of us would be equally removed – anything to get rid of Hayboy.
If anyone else agrees with me, anonymous, nickname, whatever, please also post a similar request. I think all these comments – hey, including this one, don’t belong here, and shouldn’t have to be put here to rebute such venom. Today, I am embarrassed to be on the same website as “true red state”, which should really be “true red hate”.

  45. boone you idiot said

obviously i’d agree with banning the guy.. he can be entertaining at times, but yeah he crossed the line with his comments and previous comments toward hardy and booker show that boone, for whatever non-negative points for him, should not be here. I like the idea of banning him, but do not think WLOCE news should be banned explicitly. But since only he posts WLOCE stuff, problem solved. It won’t be easy to ban him technically, but it won’t be too hard.

To many it is a joyous day and the beginning of a new dawn with Barack O’bama in the white house but some of these anti white racist radio stations are taking it to another level. We all know that the black man has gotten the short end of the stick for centuries and its long overdue that a black man should have a chance to lead this nation. When you hear remarks such as it’s about time dumb and dumber get their ass out of the white house , then it is obvious there are racial overtones associated with the election of our new president. We realize that Bush was a cancer to our nation but they make it sound as though the white man has no business in the white house so get the fu– out because it’s our time , Obama time. Sickening if you ask me.

After 400yrs of white supremacy in the white house , maybe its time for a change. Let the black man lead this country for once. Lets face it the white man hasn’t gotten the job done in the past 40 years. With the exception of Clinton, Lyndon Johnson and Kennedy most of the others stunk. I dont even want to get into Nixon. One problem, if Obama fucks up you wont see another black president for quite some time Maybe never. Blacks will always be put on probation or scrutinized for every little thing they say or do and that is not right. I’m speaking from a white mans point of view and i just happen to be white. .
