    Don Lerman is the man. Its good to have him back doing his own thing instead of being loyal to an organization that treated him like shit all these years. Go for it Moses.

    Thanks Kevin, the favorable responses were overwhelming from my fans and the competitive eating community,( on my site and my e-mail)This is just like when I started competing back in 2000.

    Absolutely terrific! I’ll be cheering for you. In Japan 60 is a very special birthday. Japanese wear red, a color of celebration, and believe that at 60 one begins the second half of one’s life, a new life. May you live to be 120 years like Moses and may you be Go Go Curry Champion for your 60th birthday. Most of all, be proud of what you have accomplished. If you give 110% as you have always done, no one could ask more.

    Just to have Don Lerman back sends chills up my spine. It’s like mike tyson coming back to revive the dead sport of boxing. The fact that he is back competing somewhere is a positive light on the sport . It’s also fitting that the restaurant is only a few doors from Bens Deli where Don captured the matzah ball title in 2000. Keep up the great work Don

    Don you ate that curry in a hurry! Wow! Congratulations!

    I also noticed that there’s less of you to see in that pic. Good job with your continued weight loss.

    If I could be a pretend, pseudo manager for only a moment, I would suggest (and personally hope, as a fan) that you, as one of the foremost legends of CE, keep a hand in by occasionally performing exhibitions/events of only a minute or so, in foods that can be quickly swallowed without chewing. (That’s your strength.)

    Given your legendary status, you’ve nothing left to prove. You’ve been to the mountain (as the Moses of CE), and you’re a very witty, attention-getting eater. Doing exhibitions/events of short durations/with low cal foods are win-win, because:

    1. You can keep a hand in doing something you love, while limiting your caloric intake, and still achieving your weight-reduction goal;

    2. And you can let others ogle over those legendary quick hands!

    I am being totally sincere here Don. At the risk of sounding arrogant, you can’t lose with this formula. I know what I know.

    Rhonda what you are trying to insinuate is that Don will flop in a contest over 3 minutes. The true test of a real champ is their overall endurance and capacity in an 8-10 min event. Anyone can speedeat a bunch of noodles or rice in a minute or so and look good doing it . That essentially proves nothing. From watching the video i assume the heats are individual . In that case you might as well send in a video if nobody is competing with you during the heat.

    Good job Don!
    I want to take a shot at this and see if I can beat that time, which is incredible.
    Unfortunately I have to choose between this and Strawberries, but if I don’t get off of work for Strawberries, I’ll be looking forward to competing with you.

    I find it fascinating that the shea still have a mental hold on their former members. If you note on Don Lerman website post for the curry challenge he mentions that he thinks it might be ok to compete in the contest stressing the fact that he is no longer contractually binded to the ifoce. Why even mention it unless you want them to read it so they wont be angry at you for competing . Is that the reason? Or is is paranoia? I cannot believe that someone who is retired and done with the ifoce still felt that he had some moral ties to the organization all this time. Is that real loyalty or fear that they might take him to court for breach of a contract that was never real to begin with? I would bet 100-1 that if they wished him a happy 60th birthday he would not have competed in the curry competition claiming that his health is bad or his teeth have not been installed yet.
