the article stated they lost about 12,000 $. Dropping the ” endorsement” by mle and the 15 to 20 grand it costs would put them back in the black.

Yes, but that’s assuming that the contest did absolutely nothing to boost attendance at the festival.

To spend what is required for mle/ifoce you have to be crazy, UNLESS you are a national or international company. & if you are a bigger company, you should be able to run something like this internally. Need a name, Kobi is available..

I’m pretty sure they had wing eating contests in prior years. & it says in the article that ‘attendance dropped significantly’. I don’t accept that attendance went down because of mle, but i’d be willing to bet that it brought significantly less than 100 extra paying customers.

The wing ding festival was hands down the best festival in Arkansas in reguards to the Price for vendors. It was very well planned and professionally run. I have been doing Arkansas festivals for over 20 years and it was my favorite. I will really miss doing it. Thanks to you and all the fine folks in Jacksonville for supporting this event. Maybe they can have it again in the future. Donnie Stroope (vendor)

Dear Everyone….. I live here in Jacksonville and we are a proud bunch of people. We like our festival. I look forward to going to the park and enjoying myself looking at the crafts. We enjoy watching the kids doing there tubling and all and selling vegtables that were home grown for sale the rides and the wing ding contest and this is all going to stop, are things really that bad in Jacksonville?
there is nothing to do here for fun. No Movies not anything for our Kids to do unless we join one club or another, i wish someone would help is there anywhere to go fishing? MsShamrock_1
