MLE game iPhone / iPad app available
update June 7 Bob Shoudt is another new character. Joey Chestnut implies that he was omitted.
The MLE facebook announces an app for iPhone / iPad is available on itunes. The app appears to be a port of the Wii game developed by Mastiff released in 2008. The listed competitors in the app are Tim Janus, Sonya Thomas, Crazy Legs Conti and Tim Brown, who was not in the Wii game.
Competitors in the Wii game were Pat Bertoletti, Joey Chestnut, Crazy Legs Conti, Erik Denmark, Tim Janus, El Toro Jimenez, Takeru Kobayashi, Juliet Lee, Rich LeFevre and Sonya Thomas. (Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3) It would not be surprising if Kobayashi, Jimenez and LeFevre were removed from the app. (Interestingly, Joey Chestnut does not appear in the list of competitors or the screen captures.)
A burping contest awarding $500 will be held at Hudson Station in New York City on Friday to promote the game. (via Naader Reda)
update Pete Davekos is another one of the new eaters

Every single time Legs name comes up you have to chime in about how jealous you are of him particularly since you seem to know everything he’s done for competitive eating from nearly a decade ago. If I were Conti I’d be worried about a stalker. Dude you’ve got a real obsession going on and it’s weird. Jason’s been around for years, is fun and an excellent face associated with the MLE brand. You on the other have so many trivial obsessive compulsive issues about one guy that I wouldn’t put you with 100 feet of camera let alone any promotional events or materials. Nobody wants to hear it anymore. Go start up a “I’m Obsessed With Conti” website and post there.

Why wasn’t Pat B. and Joey part of the original game when El Toro was. Not that I have anything against El Toro, but most would agree he seems to be an odd choice over Joey and Pat.
Also, please tell me Conti is going to have at least SOME competition tomorrow in Clev.

I am sickened that Beautiful Brian Seiken is not a character! Imagine trying to power up his eating speed and then he starts yelling explicits to the crowd. That’s entertainment.

Beast,
if it’s close, be sure to check CLC’s debris and don’t be afraid to speak up for yourself. It would be ashame to lose out on a trip to coney much like Morgan did a couple years back and Subich ALMOST did last year.
Good luck in Cleveland!

I heard every member of MLE that lives in NY or NJ was invited except for Seiken. Real spit in the face as usual for a man that gave up 1.4 of his life to promote them.
