I too get tired of reading answers to the same questions again and again, but it’s not the fault of the interviewee. In fact, I suspect Legs and others get tired of having to repeat themselves so often. The interviewers need to do a little homework and add some originality to the questions.

I would suspect that’s why some eaters have a list of frequently asked questions on their Web sites or Facebook pages as a starting point for repeated interviews.

What is a beverege manager? I think you mean bar-back. A window cleaner is also known as a glazed surface technician. Any way CLC will be back fully gloved at a table near you.

What they need to do is cut out the news station exhibitions pitting a great eater against an anchor woman or man. Prior to these 1 minute drills another newscaster asks the same question. How does such a little person eat all that food? Or when the exhibition starts One of the newscasters says OMG i think im going to throw up watching this. . Same thing over and over again and its really getting old and stupid

Beverage manager is not a bar back. They purchase the beverages, deliver, and maybe stock them in the back unlike a bar back they are not there all night running ice and cleaning.

Thanks so much for the feedback on my Q&A – I did my research in terms of what was out there about CLC, and then tried my best to shape my questions around that. I’m sorry that you feel the piece was same-old, same-old. However, my blog is meant to exposure all sorts of interesting, unique professions, so most of the readers of my blog probably don’t have a background in the art of competitive eating or are sick of reading those questions. If it was an eating blog, that would be another story 🙂

Also, I just updated the piece to clarify what a “beverage manager” is – it means he orders all the alcohol (according to CLC). Thanks for bringing that to my attention!

Megan, the article was excellent for those outside of competitive eating who don’t know anything about Legs.

Megan, I am sorry but honestly, this is not the place to come for feedback on your Q and A. If you read enough of the comments here, you will see that there are lots of haters and lots of people jealous of other eaters. There is almost nothing which is not permitted. The people who come on here, and I am no exception, follow competitive eating very closely but we are absolutely not your audience. Your article was excellent. I am sure that CLC pays no attention whatsoever to eatfeats, most of the top eaters pay no attention nor do they post on here. Unlike many of the top eaters, he doesn’t have a blog and isn’t on Facebook. As Rhonda said, some eaters answer questions on their own pages. You did a great job with your article, photos and questions. It is plain silly for people to say otherwise. I believe that you did not say where CLC works though I could be wrong. His day job is as interesting as his other jobs. Notice that those who make complaints are not people with whom you could speak directly, most post here under other names or anonymous. Thus, ignore most of what is written, as I said.
