The image above is the receipt from Ron Koch’s lunch yesterday at the International House of Pancakes where he got the All You Can Eat special for $3.99 and ate 50 pancakes in 45 minutes. The receipt reports he received 13 additional servings. Koch hopes to return to IFOCE competition in the near future. Thumbnails from the pictures of the lunch are below.

i believe the way the ihop thing works is you get 5 initially, and then stacks of 3 for each refill……………..so 13 * 3 is 39, and then add 5 to get 44…………………………50 my ass…………….

How many ounces would you people guess each pancake is? I believe the first plate is larger sized pancakes then the refills, if I’m remembering correctly. . .

    The record is 101 pancakes

set last year in Atlanta Ga ( held by Dale Boone)

Anonymous or should I say Boone, Hey if you ate 101pancakes “man you are the man”. I would like to see you back in competition. I know I can”t putup those numbers unless they were silver dollar pancakes.

Kevin,If you tell the waiter what you are doing, slap his palm, you will get 5 maybe 8 pancakes on a plate..The only problem was the cook, when you eat to fast and the numbers are up dont be surprised if your next batch is half cooked, but they were great and the best pancakes I had in a while and the best bargain in Vegas.

I know Vegas is a tipping culture, so it probably would work better there, but it could probably work around these parts as well. That’s the problem with these type of deals such as Olive Garden neverending pasta bowl, Red Lobster all you can eat shrimp, and IHOP pancakes. . .you get so bored waiting for the tiny refills and start feeling bad for the waitress/waiter for doing all the extra work that you stop before you really want to. But pretipping may be the answer to encourage them to bring larger portions. Thanks for the tip Ron. Hope you can make it to the table this year!

Dale has never eaten 101 IHOP pancakes. Nice try Dale!! Ron Koch is 10 times the eater Dale will ever be. Anybody remember when Dale told Ron to name the food and time limit and Ron said Ice Cream 5 minutes and Dale ducked his head and shut his piehole for one time in his life.

    Ron, you are the man!

Super Paul let’s do this thing. Larry and I already chronicled ourselves eating the entire dollar menu so this sounds good. Maybe we can bankrupt an IHOP! When.

And yes Ron, that is a very wise point to go when it is not busy, inform the server before-hand what you are doing, and tip the server. It’s on! Great job Ron, nice to see you back, people do forget what a vicious eater you were, especially how you finished in the Big Daddy burger when they last held it.

Boone why dont you cut the illiterate crap and type the way you really know how. We all know it’s a front and everyone knows it. Noone gives a shit how many pancakes you ate. Kevin Ross the best system for beating an all you can eat waiter waitress deal is to take a page out of Ian Hickman’s MTV segment in an all you can eat ribs restaurant a few years ago. “waitress after i finish this rack i’ll have another reorder, then another reorder after and following that another reorder”. That should solve the problem of feeling sorry for the waitress. IF she gives you tiny reorders. well thats another issue .

Boone also holds many records in Asia. And is known very well though out
Asia . Unlike many eaters qho not been out of the USA. Will find eating in Asia is very differ from the fix contests held by people in the USA .

Hey “Really”….I was Ron’s witness, as well as the one who tipped the waiter (AFTER Ron was done, not to give him fuller plates at the beginning) and took the photos of him and waiter Steve. As you can see my breakfast cost more than Ron’s pancakes. But the waiter immediately gave him two plates of nine pancakes (though he mentioned they usually give regular customers three at a time) after I was willing to give him 3-1 odds on Ron eating more than the previous record holder of 33 at that particular IHOP. Ron Stopped at 50 because Steve was taking a little heat from the cook. The pancakes were fullsize (I believe about 6-8” in diameter), not silver dollar ones. And got soggier and less cookie as Ron progressed. AND, Ron left out that he ate them with all their sauces on them–chocolate, blueberry, stawberry and molasses and two fullsize cokes. (Hey, that reminds me, Ron, where are my photo credits? :o)

wow you were his witness. You want a medal? So what. What does all this prove? . This is a man in his 60’s that has nothing better to do? I am more concerned over the mystery man in the gray shirt that was cut out of the wing contest. The one with the hat and black shirt looks like an older Pete Miernicki. Well im off to take a good shit. I hope it doesnt smell.

Hey Derwood Kirby (monbouquette deserves more respect–you’re obviously one of those Red Sox idiots…whihc ALL Red Sox fans aren’t). What’s a medal got to do with conforming that he ate 50 regulation sized pancakes and that he didn’t get three at a time and didn’t have to pre-tip the waiter? Are you always such a schmuck over nothing? Or are you a schmuck over important things too? (Not that you’d know the difference) This is about fun, jackass.
