MLE “conducts more than 80 events annually”? If you include Nathans and Krystals qualifiers I still don’t think it’s close.

So, if you have to pay your way to the contests, and anyone at the contests can enter the contest, why would anyone actually sign a contract for the WLOCE? Oh, so that they can’t eat in an IFOCE or AICE or independent contest. Well, sign me up then.
