399 BOWLS?!? How big are those bowls? Are they the size of a shot glass? They can’t be much bigger. Even 399 shotglasses of noodles in 10 minutes is amazing.

Munch, there’s a video, from Japan, of Koby in a contest with a couple of other guys. He downs about 400 bowls of noodles in 8 minutes or something. Unbelievable to watch. Sure, the ball of noodles in each bowl is maybe half an ounce or so…but do the math on that!

Maybe OJ knows of which video. I think it’s Koby and two other guys. Each guy has a woman assigned to them who refill their bowls as they eat.

I was curious about this, so I did the math. Article says each bowl is 10 grams. So 399 bowls converts to around 140 ounces (i.e. somewhere in the 8-9 lb range). So although it is still very good, I think it is not as much volume as one would imagine with 399 of something. Wee little thimbles of noodles apparently.
