In another year or two, with the right timing and marketing, I can only imagine what a Nathan’s Famous or a Krystal Finals T-shirt, autographed by all participants, might bring on eBay, or even at an auction like Sotheby’s.

Who has really ever heard of these guys? I can’t say I have. And has it come to this where people will be bidding on a used napkin from some nobodies? I thought the Competitve Eating Magnets that were offered up on Ebay was a cool idea and a good collectors item…but this? I hope that it doesnt go above the 99 cents it’s listed at.

I think they were sort of joking around when they put it on eBay. I think it’s neat, and I wish I would’ve done something like this when Ian, Pete, Wing Tut and I met at Denny’s. Have Denny sign it…our waitress too. Only I’d have kept it for myself. I’m a memento hound like that.
When I was in the shoofly contest in Lancaster I had a black Amish hat and a silver sharpie that I was going to have all the eaters sign and then I was going to give it to Kate at IFOCE to do…whatever with. But I never broke out the sharpie and now the hat is all mangled in the trunk of my car.

if the competiive eating magnets were actual characitures of the eaters they would have sold for alot more but the images on the magnets looked nothing like the eaters. It was more of a smiley icon on an insta message or email

Mega Munch… see now the hat would have been a awesome idea for a collectors item… If the napkin is just a joke then that is actually pretty a cool thing, but if it isn’t a joke then it is totally lame.

The auction is over and the “collectors item” went for a WHOPPING $2.75.
Making each signature worth about 4 bites….err I mean 4 bits….
Way to go ! ! ! ! !
