Wayne Algenio reports that Joe (fixed) Menchetti won a wing eating contest at Play Lounge in Elmhurst, NY tonight. The first prize was a trip to Las Vegas.

    Joe Menchetti is the worst sports handicapper in the world. He told me to bet $1000 on the Oilers 8.5 over the Jets. You never ever bet a road team over the home team especially with such a huge spread. Jets got blown out last week and the home team usually covers the following week after a blowout . Joe Fuck you asshole . I am never listening to you again. Some gentleman you are. Im hiding under the covers like Crazy Legs Conti for the entire week

    Instead of congratulating Joe for another win and for choosing contests he wants to do as an indy, there is a lot of toxicity here. Completely unnecessary, take it up with him directly. We do not need to know this crap. Brain, get one and stop betting money, clean your apartment, Gavonne, clean up your act completely, really guys? Is this who competitive eaters are? If so it pretty pathetic. Of course you do not see the good stand-up eaters commenting on here for good reasons, there are several right above. Rake and Herald, take notice.

    Do you think it’s fair that I covered a Hot Pepper Eating Contest for my new competitive eating blog on Sat. & OJ didn’t even mention it?Every time Menchetti or Millender or some other creep belches it’s big news on EatFeats but when I won a contest(Doritos) it was not even mentioned.
    Fuck Rake & Herald, those limey bastards, fuck OJ, but most of all FUCK TTG.

    Speaking out of both sides of your mouth Jo, you want publicity and to be mentioned but what you write makes certain that you may have your say as a comment but no one wants to read your crap or to publicize your eating because of the way you present yourself. Presentation counts, no one is going to respect you as a person or eater if you keep writing this crap. You get attention but it is not the kind of attention you really want.

    I really enjoyed Play Lounge. If It was w/in a few minutes of home, I would have stayed for the end of the Jets & Yankees games. W/open bar, I couldn’t do that.

    We were unaware of any kind of lottery, until just before hand. In fact they announced there was a spot left w/about 5 minutes left in the Jets games 1st half. Wayne should have been in, like I was.

    The prize has enough hoops to jump thru, that I’m unsure if my travel industry wife can decipher it all.

    I was at the prior weeks Jets game, & saw 1st hand how bad they were. I mistakenly thought the game was in Texas. I did suggest to Brian that if he was going to bet, to bet the Texans, but does anyone here believe that he bets a G a game?! He may go down to Sesame Street & literally bet the letter G but not $1,000.

    Why should anyone congra Joe. Money and fame in his pocket and not ours. All he cares about is himself. When his website speedeat.com was in existence he would constantly brag and post about his contest winnings.with 30 % of the posts slamming the IFOCE. MLE was smart not to take him back for after a few months he would go right back to doing things his way by competing in non sanctioned events just to put a few extra bucks in his tuxedo.

    Unfortunately, I can’t be two places at once, nor do I have a transporter. I will be working the Uconn football game w/a 1pm start. Which means I’ll be in E. Hartford til approx 2pm. As I understand it, Bierhaus is scheduled for 3pm.

    I’ve gone to several events fully expecting gaffoon(s) to show up. I have no concern whether that occurs or not, & have nothing to hide. There’s a good chance i’ll be at Pizza on Monday though. Hopefully thats w/in walking distance for it.

    Initially a lot of Speedeats posts slammed the ifoce. Over time, they mellowed. I think even they’ll acknowledge that. Never attempted to go back w/ifoce. The closest I ever came to that, was allowing someone else to inquire as to what accomodations could be made. Only because that person & a couple others begged me to come back, nearly every day, saying it was boring w/out me. I never would have signed another restrictive contract, never mind one that became more restrictive thru time.
