Two MLE contests were held in Broward County in fall 2011: Pompano pickles & Martorano’s meatballs. I have not seen any news about 2012 editions of these contests.

1. I cannot understand PCRM generalizing the ill-fated insect- and worm-eating contest to all CE events in Broward County, as it appears that’s what that group has done. That seems irresponsible in itself, as well as biased against all CE.
2. The organizers at the Great Escape theme park are demonstrating total insensitivity and under-the-carper-poor judgment with a cockroach-eating contest in the wake of the recent Broward County tragedy.
