BB.com: Ray Meduna claims pepper prediction doctored
BeautifulBrian.com reports that Ray “The Bison” Meduna claims that the Laredo jalapeno prediction appearing on IFOCE.com was not the prediction he sent to IFOCE:
After reading the final column which appeared on CEN on Feb 25th , Ray Meduna was obviously quite upset. “I didnt say anything about doughting me at their own peril or that crap. I was set up by Livingston and Rich and i am disturbed by this. Meduna knew Bertoletti was the favorite and basically write about why he thinks Erik is good with hot foods.
Meduna would like the competitive eating world to know that the column the IFOCE wrote on his prediction was doctored by Rich Shea because Meduna claims he wrote an entirely different article.
I will post the original prediction on this website if it is emailed to me.

Rich Shea writes the article while laughing to himself then shows it to everyone in the IFOCE office and they more than likely tell him “great stuff Rich “. Meanwhile those same office people are getting a big laugh out of this at poor Ray Meduna’s expense

Rich Shea has opologized for this and I have accepted .Rich has assurred me the Columns will be taken down.
Steakbelly I don’t know you but I hope you will not do these tactics to anyone else.
Even though I cannot compete anymore I have the utmost respect towards all competitors .I Love this Sport with a Passion and want to see Safe and Fair Contests.

If Denmark hado somehow, miraculously won that event Meduna would be taking credit for that bold prediction. He has two faces like Denmark and others in the IFOCE.

Like BB said, his new CD parody of CE should be the main focus and not some boring prediction on a pepper contest when we already know who the winner will be. This kind of bullshit is considered humorous to them. I think its plain stupid especially the part where they fabricate message boards and massive amounts of phone calls pouring into the office complaining about Meduna’s prediction. Get a life!

I have spoke with Steakbellie and the air is now clear.Rich rewrote and dded to each of our columns.Steakbellie and I have no problem with each other .
Rich and I have also moved on.

It is refreshing to see that the sense of humor in competitive eating is alive and well, especially amongst the “older” eater. And a few of the new school eater like Stakebelly. He is shady and has no sense of humor what so ever. How else is a guy in a dress who thinks he can write, going to get his name out there?
Next thing we’ll hear is he got credit for the word “table ender”. Kick his a$$ sea bass, I mean Bison
